I haven't gone to a Sox game in many years for the same reason;I refuse to patronize outraging scalping.
The only time I would have considered it would have been for a possible clinching game against St. Louis had the series returned to Boston, and even then, I would have looked for a standing room ticket for maximum $400 or so.

Look back in the Clemens and Dan Duquette days frank. You could walk up and buy a ticket for face value on a day Clemens was pitching and the stadium was always half empty!
You need to get your facts straight.

The last time the Sox drew under 2,000,000 fans was 1994. The year of the strike. That year baseball attendance was way down. The Sox still out-drew the leagues average attendance.

That's a NO BRAINER knowing Manny, Papi, Schilling & Beckett will be back but what about '08 & '09???

If they think we will sit around for a youth movement, they are sadly mistaken!

I knew people who flew to Chicago (Wrigley) last year to see the sox 'cause it was STILL cheaper than going to Fenway!

I paid $3,500 for 2 tickets in the bleachers to game 6 of the '04 WS thinking it might be the clinching game. They swept and i got my full refund!

The last time the Red Sox attendance was below league average was 1984. Prior to that season was 1966. Most of the other years they out-drew league average by 500,000 or more.

They were below league average twice in 40 years.
