i have to jump in here for just a second.......The reason there are tax cuts and loopholes for the rich are very simple.....and here is why there always should be.......If the very wealthy get penalized for being successful they will tighten up their purse strings and not re-invest in things like companies, factories....things that change the lives of middle class by providing them with jobs and a living.....

I do not understand why we should penalize people for being successful....I think we should continue to create incentives for the large business owners to re-invest in our communities and promote growth....who cares if they make money along the way.....everyone else does too......Ask michael dell......do you think they like him in texas?? hell yeah!!

weakening the rich does nothing but weaken the economy....I am not rich, but i know when i was putting up a company in certain town i was given a 10 year tax abatement....10 years tax free.....what that did was free me from a short term burden and i was able to hire an additional 7 people i normally would not have....So now there are 7 families that contribute to the economy and in the 10 years the town will get their tax money and there will probably be 50-70 employees.....i no longer own the company, but this is a small example of why tax breaks help businesses and everyone in general.......According to you I probably should not have been given the break, but the town planner had a longer term vision and he did this with alot of comanies and guess what??? this town has grown tremendously and its tax base is getting bigger and in a short period of time, the abatements will be up.......To me it is a win win!!!

If we keep knocking down these big guys, who do you really think is going to pay??? the middle calls will be laid off quicker than you can blink......Look at GM........too much money paid to workers and too many benefits.....and too much in pension.....34 cents of every dollar on a new vehicle is to pay a pension of a non-producing worker....Is this right??? No, it is crippling the company....There has never been a time when Gm has had a better product, yet they are in dire straights......

The knife can cut both ways......There has to be incentives for business.....That is basic....
