Something I was thinking about. Please enlighten me as to where my logic is wrong.

I have been reading and listening about the latest liberal/Hollywood hot topic...the killing going on in Africa. I have listened to the movie stars call for action and the complaints that instead of wasting our time and money in Iraq, we could be helping to stop the butchery in Africa.

Now, before I ask the question, I believe we should help in whatever way we can. We are already involved, just not to the level some believe we should be. But here's the question:

Where was this call for action in Iraq? From the start, the left has been against this war on many different grounds. If you recall, Saddam Hussain used chemical weapons on his own people. He had women raped repeatedly. He dismembered those who opposed him and buried thousands and thousands of people in mass graves. Saddam has a policy of genicide for years, yet it's not okay to take care of him for those reasons alone?

It seems hypocritical to me. If we went to Africa tomorrow, we are to believe that we would be praised by the left? Why is that mass murderer different?

Until they get that straight, expect more results like 2004. If you listened to the early results, Kerry was the winner. The elite members of the party were so smart that they listened to polls that they commissioned, not realizing the tilted nature of them. Joe Lieberman or John Edwards would have probably won in 04. Carry one freakin southern state is all you have to do. Hillary don't play well in Birmingham, Atlanta, Charlotte, Jackson or anywhere else south of Mason Dixon. The dem's just do not get this. The south is traditionally a democratic blue collar area. Give them a real person, and they will vote for them. Some will say that the south is a bunch of ignorant voters. I would vehemently disagree. I would tell you that the people making those staements are the problem.

Fact: Republicans will cannibalize themselves if a moderate (Giuliani, McCain) runs. It happened in 1992, and it will happen in 2008 if a pro-life candidate is not elected. The extreme wing of the party will pull a "1992 Ross Perot" if they don't get a family values candidate. Rudy would get my vote, but he is pro choice, gay neutral, and not acceptable to many bible thumping evangelicals. Say what you want, but this group votes in masses (no pun intended). They would vote for 110 year old 2000lb squatting Pat Robertson before they would vote for a pro choice moderate.

It was Clinton's fault that 911 happenned because he was so caught up in his personal affairs that he let Bin Laden and the terrorists slip away.

Those damn Republicans were so caught up in politics that they let a blow job interfere with catching these terrorists. They kept Clinton from doing his job.

Nothing will probably change peoples minds on the above issues, but it sure does make for interesting conversations.

Just because Moore MAY have lied about one thing(and I say may) does not mean that everything he says about other things regarding Bush is a lie.
I believe Bush lies about many things, but at times he does tell the truth. So what!
Some of what is posted by Monte re: 9/11 and Moore cannot be disputed, and in my mind there is enough written to show BNushfor what he is, and that for my money NOt being the President of the US.
