Why? It was the chance for the bench warmers to shine on national TV. They were making bombs from all over the court.
Maybe but under those circumstances as stated before this does not usually happen under these circumstances for reasons stated previously;that is was my only point.
I am personally glad they did try to score, as it allowed me to win my OVER.
I would buy into a College Game being fixed a million times more than a NBA game. When over 2,500 NBA games are played over a season, shit is going to happen to make you think weird and wild things but for me, a fix is not one of them. Shit will happen here and there in that many games!
Wayne-I agree with you about college games for sure;however I still think on occasion it happens in the NBA also. In the NBA I have just seen too many missed foul shots near the end of the game, too many funny looking turnovers, too many fouls made when game was over, etc. to conclude it is always coincidence.
you have 10th 11th 12th men on the floor for the last 4 minutes. i forgot about the burke 26 footer until cheech brought it up.. those guys in the game at that point just wanted to put the ball in the basket and have some fun..
you have to get over this conspiracy theory BS.
a missed free throw??
i dont care if you are a 95 % foul shooter, shit can happen and you can actually miss, the only ppl complaining about that are the gamblers calling out a fix was in!

Savage, Arenas missed 2 FT's when they were up 1 late in the game against the Cavs the other night and they ended up losing by one and going home. Do you think that was fixed and he missed on purpose?? Even the best faulter under pressure and shit happens, their human. I don't believe that means they are fixed!

Of course he didn't miss on purpose.
I am referring to instances mostly in games where the actual outcome of the game is clearly already determined and what sometimes transpires afterwards, which is usually late in the game.

Well, just like that total last night, if Arenas hits them both and the Wiz steal the ball late and score twice to finish and cover it would have then been fixed right?
I enjoy sports for Sport. The day i start questioning every game or which ones are fixed is the day i stop enjoying it and take up something else. Has it happened before? Probably, but it is ridiculous to think it happens 30 times a year like you do!
which is when the less talented players are in the game savage and the guys have been sitting on the bench for games and are rusty, what do u expect?
I have seen many games when the less talented players come in the game but under the coaches orders and under similar circumstances of last night still slow the game down much more than what happened last night.

And I am saying that there is a much greater chance/room for hanky panky in the NBA when one team is leading by a 30 points late in the game than when it is up by a basket.
the suns were at home, playing a huge game. the bench players were out there having fun.. the guy burke hit a 26 foot three pointer, likely a 5% chance at him making it since he can barely make a 6 footer, the guys sucks.. shit happens it went over. there was NO FIX and are not any especially in the nba when the players have guaranteed multi millioin dollar contracts, so a player would risk that to fix a game, how much you think he would have to get paid off to do it??

As I have said before, Money is not always the motivating factor for some NBA players.(I used the word POWER in a previous post).
Lets just say that some were raised differently and have a "street mentality" if you get my drift and participating and/or helping to control a ATS outcome or total would fit right in with that;don't think that because YOU or I would view things differently if we made all that money, that all NBA players would do the same.
If they wanted the over that bad, they would have let Kobe go wild in the 2nd half and open up lanes for him because they had a big enough lead to let that happen right? The fact is, he had two 2nd half pts.
I watched the game too and i have to say, this is really a ridiculous conversation.
wow, your amazing.. you should stop betting if you are going to constantly complain about a fix even after you won a bet..
sorry i dont know the backgrounds of all the players on the floor at the time the game went over to determine their street mentality, lol.
All i can say is that whether I am wrong or right about last night, it doesn't take away from my basic point as to what I believes can happen under the "right' circumstances in the NBA
MMW-I would refer to what I said more as an observation and /or opinion than a complaint based on watching NBA games and what I have learned in my life about human motivation.
