If you have Cobb in your top-5 where do you rank Pete Rose. I'm not suggesting Rose is better than Cobb.

    i don't know where i'd put rose.

in what could be a very strong statement, i think dimaggio could be considered the best all around player to ever play the game, only behind ruth.

ruth has to be #1, especially when you consider his staggering #'s as a pitcher.

      Bob Gibson

      to name a few
i think we said earlier that we were talking non-pitchers. but you are right, they are usually left off 'all-time' lists.

what i cannot believe is that dimaggio didn't make the HOF on his 1st year of eligibility.

Doesn't Cy Young have over 500 Wins? Nobody will ever come within 100 of that. I don't care if he pitched every day or any other circumstances, he has to be 1 of the top 5 MLB players of All Time. My other "No Brainer" is Babe Ruth. I think the other 3 spots can be debated endlessly.

I think Ted Williams and Hammerin Hank could fit in that conversation also

My perception of Hank Aaron is that he played forever and hit HR's. Eventually enough for the record. I don't know if he would be in my top 10 or not.

Getting back to the title of this thread...Deshaun, shave your nar nar beard so you can be a little more aero dynamic and might be able to D-slide fast enough to sniff brons jock as he rolls your soft ass loud mouth squad right out the first round again with his terrible supporting cast...Cheap bumb would rather look like, and play like shit forever than pay Drew Gooden 20 racks. The bad luck beard is just a visual of the Deamons Lebron has placed inside this turkeys soul.

Keep hating, hater...the more you post, the more you take away from anything you may have post previosuly that may have been somewhat logical.

Typical Three Jack.....look at the WHOLE thread before you start spirting your nonsense. Get in the game, get the facts and then come participate......I never claim to HATE anyone, and if you look in post 53, rather then just "pick what you want" for your hateful post. You will see that I said I like ARod as I also like James. You are so close minded. Again, before you start "casting stones" and calling people names AGAIN.......you should get all the facts. Yeah, just jump in and start where ever you want Jack.....what a joke. I will wait for your reply, but I know you will have a reason for your incredible rush to judgement......like I said what a JOKE you are.

Dude, didn't see the game, didn't read the thread...just had to read the nonsense you post to see that you are up to your hating ways with Lebron...did he steal your wife? Girlfriend? WTF? Its a shame because occasionally you post something that is somewhat sensible but then you post this crap and it dillutes any argument you may have as your hatred is so apparent. Its a shame.

And who am I hating? And who is disappearing? Talk about disappearing...other than an occasional 'BOL' or 'GL' you have no where to be found since last years discussion. When Wad got hurt again....

Even with a career ravaged from a severe knee injury The Mick is top-10.

A pitcher would have to win 25 games per year for 20 straight years to reach 500 wins. Is there a record out there that has zero chance of ever being broken like that one?
