            • I wish he would stop crying every time he gets touched. He gets most all the calls anyway. The guy is 6-8 250 lbs, and dishes it out too. If you are coaching against him wouldn't you put him at the line every time he drives in??

You gotta throw Trent Dilfer in there as a Top 10 QB

Anything can happen in a single game. Let's wait and see how the series ends up. New Orleans lost to Sacramento a week ago, those things happen.

In my mind, the Celtics are in the same class as the Lakers and Hornets. The Pistons are in the same class as the Jazz, Spurs, and Suns. And the Magic are in the same class as the Rockets and Mavericks. Cleveland is probably on par with the Nuggets and it's downhill from there.

                    • NO what we have hear is simple. Like I said, any opinion other then your own is wrong right Jive? What you have shown me is that your standards are such that you settle for throwing the word GREAT out where ever you see big numbers and no results. Again what has James done? What? If he was great, truly great, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Post a thread that asks if Jordan is overrated, post a thread and ask if Magic was overrated? You will get few responses, atleast serious ones, because their greatness can't be denied or questioned. Will James become GREAT, who knows. Chances are good he may, but as I have said, to call him so right now IMHO is premature. Sure, he took over the game, I believe six last year against the Pistons, but what did it get him........a ass kicking by the Spurs. D Wade took over game six of the Championship series, what did it get him......a Championship. Bottom line, what has he done? Big numbers does not greatness make. Ask all the players you named, Stockton, Malone, even Marino if they fill a void from not winning that ring, the honest answer is YES. So if James does not when a title, you still put him amoung the GREATS of all time? Again, it doesn't matter, because you obviously don't understand why these players compete. I believe you are slumped over in mediocrity, so lets just put everyone with big numbers on the GREAT shelf and call it a day. lol Again I ask.....what has all those numbers gotten him...........nothing. He is the same as Dirk or Steve Nash or AI....very good players with voids in their careers. I know before anyone writes it, he is young. And if he wins a title one or ten I will the first one to proclaim how great he is. But for now, he is an incredibly gifted player trying to reach his potential of greatness by winning a title. And you are someone who only listens to himself, and calls others names when they disagree. But I am not surprised by that, given your views greatness.

Great players make their team better. He doesn't.

                        He can't shoot.

He drives to the basket and gets every call.

                        NBA Championships:
                        D Wade - 1
                        Lebron - 0
I don't know if there is a Top 10 Ignorant post Hall of Fame, but if there is, this would go in on the first ballot.

First off, it is the height of hypocrisy to mention LeBron "getting calls" and then bring up Dwayne Wade.

Secondly, no player in the league makes his teammates better than LeBron. That's not even a question.

                        • Lebron overrated ? Anyone watching the Cle/Was series...He looks pretty great to me. Your MVP though has to be Chris Paul.

                          • do you have too win a title to be great? elgin baylor nba no title. ernie banks mlb no title. dan marino nfl no title. all hall of famers. basketball is a team sport and if you don't have the right players surrounding you a title may well be out of reach. i don't think numbers alone make you a great player either. how much does he get his teamates involved? does he make the big play on a continual basis? labron is definetly a top player right now, but give him more time too see if hes great. kobe has always been a scorer but this year hes played more team ball and showed hes learned too trust his teamates. he's becoming great.

Minimizing the fact the guy has 'great' games in the playoffs due to his competition is a joke. If it was because the opposition is so pourous, why don't more players average triple doubles in the playoffs or just have ONE? You discredit a great game but would be the first to jump on him, as I think you may have last year, if he had a shit game in the playoffs...and heaven forbid if it be against a crap team.

Lebron is a GREAT player in this day and age...he IS NOT an ALL TIME GREAT because he has not done it long enough. Does the media over sensationalize his game, I think they do. But that should not diminish his talent.

How great did Jordan make his teammates prior to Pippen? James is 23, give him time and support and he will be, imo, one of the top 5 players of all-time by the time he is done.

Sooner, I personally think your infatuation with Wade clouds your judgement of James as James gets all the press (although I am so sick of the Wade commercials with Barkley). Last year, one of your issues with Lebron was that he was cocky, arrogant and never smiles...I think that argument has been put to bed...I personallyu think, along with Wade, that he is one of the most refreshing interviews in the NBAQ today. i actually have a very hard time believeuing this kid is 23 and believe their should be a Miguel Tejada-like investigation!

You think that big numbers make a player great.......well if Championships mean nothing in the equation of greatness.......I want to call Alex English Great......Championships MUST be considered in GREATNESS, it is why you play. Different sports, but what do you think makes Jeter the "Prince of New York" or what made Montana great........numbers do not greatness make. So my question remains.....what has all these big numbers gotten James to this point? I go back to the greatness of Magic or Bird. Bird especially, he made some players that were not the "cream of the crop" alot better. And Magic, well lets just say, there may have never been better at that position
lebron is without a doubt a great player...basketball is not an individual sport yet lebron made it look like one by carrying his team to the finals...of course championships help your legacy but you need teammates to get there...do you watch cavs games? lebron is double teamed almost every time he touches the ball yet he puts up great numbers every night...there is no way you can call him overrated...i love frank aka jim rome but this thread is ridiculous...lebron is a stud plain and simple...and i am also a huge d wade fan...and we have seen how good he has been without a cast around him
