This thread is ridiculous...mods should close it.

IT'S NOT LEBRON'S FAULT PEOPLE COMPARE HIM TO JORDAN...ON THE CONTRARY, THAT SHOULD TELL YOU SOMETHING ABOUT HIS GAME.

It amazes me, Jack, for example because we totally disagree on the James opinion and all it is, is opinion. Now James has a triple double, against Washington......and anyone who thinks James isn't great is wrong. Dude, bottom line, you think he is so be it. Time will tell, but the problem with this is, if anyone says anything against the greatness of "the chosen one" he is a James hater. I dont hate James, but I don't consider him Great.........a incredible talent but NOT great. That is my opinion. Just like I think the Celtics are old.......my opinion....that is what a forum like this is for. But by god if anyone says anything against James we are haters or what did Jive call me an "idiot" its ridiculous. Like Wayne said in this very thread, it is so ironic. But one year ago, I was basically ex-communicated because of MY OPINION. It just kills me, we did go at it pretty hard, I respect you opinion, may not agree with it, but do respect it. Like I said, if I don't think James is great.......I'm wrong. Just isn't right. But hey, it seems to be how it works around hear. I do appreciate guys like Frank, Wayne, Molta and yourself. May not always agree, but atleast you can give an opinion and not get jumped on or called an "idiot"....like I told jive, the way you respond speaks to your intelligence.

Now this we can agree on. The East is clearly inferior at the bottom, but the top teams in the East are on par with any Western Conference team this year.

What did I ever say about Duncan or Shaq? So you put TMac in the GREAT catagory? You put Garnett in the GREAT catagory? And you don't consider Duncan one of the greatest Forwards of all time? So you consider, right now that James is on the same level as Duncan and Shaq?? If so please tell me why? You would rather have James in his prime then Shaq in his or Duncan? You have an odd set of standards.......I guess winning championships doesn't matter? So AI, falls in the same catagory as Shaq and Duncan..... Please explain.

Based on your logic, Dan Marino isn't great...sorry man, BUT WINNING A CHAMPIONSHIP IS NOT THE DETERMINING FACTOR OF GREATNESS

considering lebron hasn't sniffed his prime yet, we'll have to wait and see.

                      • Great is something you have to define by ability to lead teams to Championships. You think that big numbers make a player great.......well if Championships mean nothing in the equation of greatness.......I want to call Alex English Great......Championships MUST be considered in GREATNESS, it is why you play. Different sports, but what do you think makes Jeter the "Prince of New York" or what made Montana great........numbers do not greatness make. So my question remains.....what has all these big numbers gotten James to this point? I go back to the greatness of Magic or Bird. Bird especially, he made some players that were not the "cream of the crop" alot better. And Magic, well lets just say, there may have never been better at that position

                        • I can live with "wait and see" which means perhaps he WILL be GREAT but to open the flood gates right now........what if he never wins a championship EVER........will he be considered in the same light as Kobe, Duncan, Magic, Bird or Jordan......I think we know the answer.....Championships matter.

You are sitting here comparing those Lakers teams and Celts teams to THIS Cavs team? THAT IS BRUTAL

I said it last year before the Finals started, other than the Sixers team w/AI who got swept by the Lakers, that Cavs team was the worst to ever get to the Finals.
