Harrison would be a great receive with other teams. In no way does Harrison have the same stats if he played for Pitt or NE. For you to think he does than I want some of the stuff you are smoking.

In this free agent era, it's almost impossible to have the same team in back to back years. But now they do...and now they are that much better.

Better last year? Maybe statistically, but in my world, all that matters are wins and losses. And to this point...the Colts have more wins this year then last.

This season they are 8-0. They are averaging 28.3 points on offense and 12.3 points against on offense. I don't care who they played this is still the NFL. Their offense runs more. They no longer have 2 minute scoring drives. They are keeping opposing offenses off the field. Look at last night game. They hade numerous 6-8 minute drives. That is why their scoring is down.

Last season at this point they were 5-3. They averaged 31 points on offense and 25.8 points allowed on defense.

Bry,if you truly feel the Colts were better last year than this season then with all due respect you have no idea what you are talking about. Before you throw out your opinions back it up with some facts and not fiction. Do a little research.

Compare last season stats with this season stats. Their three losses last season were to NE (OK Superbowl champs), Jax (9-7) and KC (7-9).

I can't even believe the conversation is being discussed.....

1) Peyton commands an offense like no other QB has ever done in the past. Calls at the line, recognize defenses, changing the play, the list goes on.

2) The colts defense is a hell of a lot better than last year, or any year that Peyton has been there..... hence why they're 8-0 and not 6-2, 5-3 like years past.

3) So Peyton hasn't won "the big one" yet..... Barry Sanders never came close to winning "the big one", and yet is a better back than Emmitt Smith (who won 4 "big ones") EVER WAS!!! ---- If you don't understand point #3 then you don't understand football. As you stated before Marino never won the big one either, but IMHO is still one of the greatest QBs to ever play the game.

I also totally disagree with most of what you have said. The colts are a better team this year IMO. I love watching Peyton play football, because he has such a good combination of preparedness, precision, and tenacity. I believe firmly they will go to the superbowl. No, there defense isn't half as great as people were talking about the first 5 games of the season, but if you look at this league overall this season, I don't see anyone really standing out.

Oh and you steelers backers, I can't wait to see that MNF game. I don't think it's half as easy as you think it's going to be. Give me the colts in that game. Out

I think that Manning is one of the most intelligent and prepared quarterbacks in the last 25 years. His head is what makes him special. He doesn't have the strongest arm, or the quickest feet, but makes up for those and then some with the intangibles. (looking off receivers, reading defenses, clock management, etc)
