If winning the Super Bowl is such a big deal, why is Marino considered one of all time greats? Just food for thought....

Originally posted by 10DimeBryyour missing my whole point BT. My point is, brady is by far the more cooler calmer and by far the more intelligent of the 2 QBs. You dont and wont see brady making bad throws time after time after time after time. Brady has "IT" manning doesnt
Then why does Brady continue to throw more INTs than Manning every year?

Great stuff guys, gotta go back to work, look forward to checking rest later. Sort of like arguing if you want Marino or Montana. I'll stick with my feeling that Brady is the best QB in football, and there is nobody else I would rather have... Of course I may change my opinion on that if Manning ever ends up in NE and Brady in Indy

Tom Brady is an amazing QB and to say that he is not better than Manning is ridiculous. He plays with far less talent and just WINS. This just in........Tom Bradys team has won 3 out of the last 4 superbowls........Wait a second this just in as well.....Peyton Manning has never been to the AFC championship but he puts good numbers i would rather have him as my QB
Then why the FUCK is NE 4-4
JBC and Bry, you are both living in the past. Manning sucks because he played on a team with a very lousy defense? That's what you are both saying.
But Brady's still great playing on a 4-4 team. GUESS WHAT? Peyton was never 4-4 playing with lousy teams. The only reason the Pats make the playoffs this season is because they play in a very weak division.
Tom Brady is a great QB. He's not in the class of Peyton. The next few years will show us. NE will be average and Brady will lose some of his superstar luster. Now that Peyton has a adequate defense he will shine.
For the first time Tom is playing with a lousy Defense. He doesn't look like the superstar QB anymore. 4-4Last edited by frankb03; 11-08-2005, 04:06 PM.

I'm sure the Colts had several times they could have picked off a Brady pass or made a tackle, or forced a fumble, but they didn't have playmakers on defense. Romeo always knew how to scheme for the Colts, and it showed.
I'm having trouble finding Romeo @ nebraska in 1998. Maybe you can find it in this article:
1998 Orange Bowl
In what was Volunteer great Peyton Manning's final college football game, the Nebraska Cornhuskers concluded one of the most successful eras in college football history. The Cornhusker defense shut down Manning, and then rolled to a 42-17 victory at Pro Player Stadium.
The game also proved to be Nebraska head coach Tom Osborne's final college game, finishing his career with a record of 255-49-3 in 25 seasons.
Nebraska went into halftime holding a 14-3 lead, and then came out with a 21-point third quarter. Nebraska's offense was led by quarterback Scott Frost, who scored two touchdowns in the third stanza. Ahman Green also added a touchdown as the Huskers pulled away.
Green wound up with an Orange Bowl-record 206 yards rushing and two touchdowns. In all, the Huskers ran up 406 yards rushing, while its defense held Tennessee to just 128 yards (sensational freshman tailback Jamal Lewis was the team's leading rusher with 92 yards).
Manning's lackluster 21-for-31, season-low 134 yards, one touchdown and one interception performance in the Orange Bowl didn't prevent him from becoming the No. 1 overall selection in the 1998 NFL draft.
As for Nebraska, the victory was the school's third national championship in four seasons. Nebraska placed first in the coaches' poll, while Michigan took the crown in the AP poll, as the two schools shared the glory.2013 NCAA POD Record
