Cashman AGAIN does not offer arbitration to any yankee!! Why wouldn't he offer it to Damon? He wants a 3 or 4 year deal.. He will turn it down easily and we get a nice draft pick....BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

My team sucks and I still can't wait for baseball.
I think you and many Sox fans are going to be surprised this year.
As much as I have criticized Cherington in the past, I love the restraint he used this year and the patient method about which he using to rebuild this team by concerning himself as much with the culture and team chemistry as with the talent.
It wouldn't surprise me one bit if the Sox are at least vying for a playoff spot quite late in the season.
Imo as constructed, this is a team which is a bit better than the sum of its parts.
You sound like a typical sox fan savage. Blind and deaf when it comes to reality. Worst lineup they have had in a long time and a starting staff that sucks.

Wins and losses aren't always decided by stats, Wayne-team hartmony, chemistry and a desire to win are all very important.
Just look at the O's and A's last year-whoever thought they would do as well as the did?
Any team with folks like Pedroia, Ellsbury, Ortiz, some added players and a revamped pitching staff and some very good pitchers who could turn it around can be a factor.
Consider also that not having BV around can only help.
ps I think folks who think the Jays are going to be that good simply because they added some players whose team fizzled last year(Marlins) are going to be surprised-last I looked, the Jays have only had one finish as high as second place in the last 20 years.
I think the Sox's chances are as good as any team in that division especially with what could be devastating injuries to the Yankees.
Play ball!
Kudos to Cherington for going about rebuilding this team in a fiscally responsibly and patient way.
Blah blah blah with the chemistry crap savage. Teams can suck and still have great chemistry and teams can hate each other and still win. It is about talent 1st savage and the Red Sox don't have it!
