We hit big win the Angels last night on the RL and ML over the O's, who are in a bad tailspin of late...One of the things is that they have no offense and is the worst hitting team right now averaging .169 with men in scoring positions since the All-Star break..

The O`s other issues with Palmeiro testing positive imo is just making others like Sosa very nervous...and he wasnt hitting for awhile now, so thats a good thing...The O's have only one win in their last 15 games,...The 10-1 drilling they got in game 1 and the last night 8-4 spanking they got with their Ace, shows how far they have fallen in this recent skid.

Lackey owns the O's...but tonight the Angels send their Rookie Santana to the hill...and thats a good thing for the Angels as the O's hasnt seen him and he has some solid shit....Already beat the Yanks in back to back starts and also shut down the CWS when they were Hot...and he should be able to get past this struggling O's lineup today..

The Angels will also have their best from the Bullpen for tonights game should he need relief...as they got some rest last night....but, it will be the Defense of the Angels, their BP, and also their Small Ball Play that will get them a solid win today...You maybe thinking what about the offense?...Well, Angels hitting pretty good right now, however in bases you win with pitching and defense....and with the O's giving up an average of 8 rpg the last 5....some walks with some stolen bases, and a few timely hits is probably all that will be needed again...Wont bet that would be it though, but I am seeing it as enough to hurdle this O's team in a bad situation right now...I will continue to fade this wounded duck....


*Stats and Trends:

-O's just 3-9 on Thursday.

-O's only 23-32 after a loss...and just 4-12 after 3 consecutive losses

-O's also just 3-10 vs teams with winning records in the 2nd half of the season.

-Angels are 6-3 on Thursday

-Angels are 48-29 vs RHPs.

-Angels are 12-3 as a Home fav of -125 to -150.


Santana's the future of this Angel staff ...so dont look at his ERA or his WHIP....just look at the fact that he shutout the CWS when they were HOT...and he recently beat the Yankees in back to back starts when they were HOT, and previous to this, the A's who are still HOT....and then previous to that the Twins when they were HOT....In all these 5 games vs solid teams at the plate, and who also were freakin Hot as well...This Rookie, allowed the Yanks, in 2 games, to score 4 ERs on 3 HRs....The A's to only 2 ERs....The Twins to only 1 ER, and the CWS to 0 ERs...Lopez cant say the same, now can he...hell no and he has his own problems as in his last 3 starts he has an ERA of over 7... Not Good!

And now we get the news that the O's head has been cut off...with the manager's firing....Simply not a good time to be an Orioles fan, an Orioles player, or an Orioles Steroid dealer....Today, the Angels complete the Sweep ..and the O's continue their spiral downwards....GL and Aloha CC.

-Something tells me the Cards were waiting for this series to get some payback for those bullshit games they should of won in Atlanta, the first time these two hooked up....Smoltz love him, but he has made me alittle weary of late as he needed some late inning offense to come back from deficits on the Road....St Louis may not be that easy to do if needed this time...Anyways, I like the Cards to get the first Revenge game of this series today.

-Cards also 14-3 in games played on Friday.
-Cards also 33-7 after a loss.
-Cards also hitting .298 vs RHPs the last 10....Atlanta hitting .260 vs LHPs in their last 10 vs them..
-Cards BP the last 3 games has an ERA of 1.40 and WHIP of 1.19...and this also include going 48 more innings then the Braves BP.
-Cards also 26-9 in the 1st game of Home series....while Atlanta just 7-8 in 1st game of Away series..




Boston -121




-Simply put, the Red Soxs are fuckin Hot as Hell right now...They also seems to be in the Zone as well...which is evident as no run deficit they had has been able to sway or delay their confidence on offense to get it back in a big way...This is something the Twins dont have right now...and their offensive strugglings is very evident in their losing 11 of their last 14 games...and 7 of their last 8...which they only have averaged just 2.7 rpg in this span....Boston, on the other hand, has gone on an 8 game tear and is averaging 7.1 rpg...to go along with their 5.8 rpg and .283 hitting vs RHPs this year....Minny only averaging just .190 vs RHPs in their last 10 games vs them...and .199 overall in this span....Boston is going off hitting .296 vs RHPs in their last 10 and .297 overall in this span...

One big reason for this Twins slump is their leadoff man Stewarts batting only .189 in the last 10 games..which doesnt help get them going...and currently in the Metrodome games of late the Twins only averaging just 4 Hits.

Radke, already lost to the Red Soxs and Arroyo already beat the Twins..and he also is on a roll going an average of 7 inning in his last 3 games...which is a good thing to protect that Red Sox BP...But, after seeing these stats in the last 3 games...it seems that the Minny is the one who needs to worry about their BP as they have an ERA of 7.90 and WHIP of 1.90...while the Red Sox BP in this span has an ERA of just 2.65 and WHIP of 1.29...Oh and they also need to worry about Radke as he likes to gives up to much Bombs and that is what this Boston team likes to do...Bombs Away!

-Minny only 1-3 in August.
-Minny just 5-12 vs teams with winning recs in the 2nd half of the season.

-Seo is pitching very well dispite that one away game where he gave up 3 HRs...but at home he has been shutdown and has only allowed 1 ER on 7 hits in 13 innings vs Wash and Philly....He also has an overall record of 2-1 with an ERA of 2, WHIP under 1, and allows opponents to only avg .156 batting against him in his first 3 starts...Seo also has big motivations as he was sent down to Triple A, and so far is making the most of his time back...something he knows he must do to extend his stay.

Maddux owns the Mets in his career...but he is in a slump right now and playing in the day and on the road, where he continues his struggles is not a good thing...Day and Road games is where Maddux has his highest ERA and when he has given up his most HRs, as well as allowed the highest BAA....Seems like the heat of the Summer days is getting to his veteran and it also seems that the long season is starting to as well...as he has now lost his last 4 starts and 3 of them were to cellar dwellar teams....Mets to good at Home and Cubs have now lost 4 of their last 5...plus the return of some studs seems will take more time to benefit from.

Strong Home team playing with alot of Revenge/Motivations factored in are situations I like to hit.....GL and Aloha CC.

Jeremy Bonderman is the emotional leader of the team with a no die attitude and when he takes the mound he plays like it...He has been getting this team along with Pudge to not give up or in...and has been getting them to respond offensively, at least when he pitches...Today he is going for his 3rd win against these Indians...who last night had an inning that I dont expect them to duplicate, not against Bonderman...who has only allowed them to score just 2 ERs in each of his last 2 games vs Clev...He is also 4-1 in his last 5 games with a 4.69 ERA vs the Indians....and 13-7 with a ERA of 4.03 overall on the year...

Bonderman has also gone at least 6 innings in 21 of his 22 starts on the year and in his last start vs the Indians he went 8 innings, allowing just 5 hits and 2 ERs in the 7-3 win at Clev....At Home, he is 6-3 (ERA 4.10) this year and the Tigers has gone 7-3 in his last 10 starts.

Clev's Westbrook (9-12 with a ERA 4.55) takes the hill for the Tribe...and he is coming into this one on a 3 game winning streak...However, in his last start at Seattle he was tagged for 11 hits and allowed 7 ERs, lasting just 5 2/3 innings....Westbrook has been ok allowing just 3 ERs or less in 13 of his last 17 starts...however, it is on the Road where he struggles as he is just 4-7 with a ERA of 5.45 in his 11 road starts....This is not good stats because the Tigers has feasted on him in all 3 games this year...and winning all of them by a combined score of 24-6 in the process....In these games, he allowed 19 ERs in just alittle over 9 innngs...Ouch!....In his career vs Detroit, Westbrook is just 2-5 with a ERA of 7.29, WHIP of 1.607, and BAA of .287, in 13 starts vs them....Not Good!

Clev right now has won 6 of their last 8 and had that big inning last night to win the first game of this series...and the Home team in this series is just 3-7 in the last 10 meetings, with the series tied 5-5 so far overall....However, today we get the All-Star Bonderman on the hill...and that is a big advantage as Clev is just 2-6 in Westbrook's last 8 starts vs Detroit....and this is the lineup who can hit and who feasted on him before.
