Well they both suck, but they are two programs headed in different directions. Oklahoma normally is listed in the top 5 recruiting classes has started to slip out of the top 10, and Fresno normally ranked in the 80+ for recruiting classes has moved up to last year being ranked in the top 60.

So I say there is a shift in talent away from Oklahoma due to its poor on field and coaching performance. I would say in the next 5 years Oklahoma's program will decline to the likes of Notre Dame and Louisville, and Fresno will be on the rise.

I know you didn't read the CBSsportsline story I posted. That would be asking a lot....It said.

"A schedule like that makes us peak early, and it's affected us in WAC play, but this conference is awful good and the last two years proved that in Boise State and Hawaii making it undefeated and going to a BCS bowl."

In 2005 the Bulldogs had high expectations entering the season, only to lose to Oregon by three and Southern California 50-42. Things fell apart after the loss to the Trojans, with defeats to Nevada, Louisiana Tech and Tulsa in the bowl game.

The Bulldogs' niche will continue in 2008 as Fresno plays at Rutgers (Sept. 1), host Wisconsin (Sept. 13) and travel to UCLA (Sept. 27) before jumping into WAC play. The Rutgers game was supposed to be a matchup with Kansas State, but the Wildcats bought out of the game.

By scheduling these teams and having one of the toughest non conference schedules in the COUNTRY!, they don't end up having much left for the conference run. They don't have near the money or talented recruits that an OU has. But don't bet against them against any team in the country.

Just ask USC when Fresno St was the only team that gave them a challenge and lose 50-42. A game they winning during the magical run of USC that year. With Reggie Bush and Leinart.

Programs like OK and Notre Dame are overrated. Every year because of their history they're ranked higher than they should. Some of the programs with storied histories have done shit the last 10+ years.

Alrighty just finished finally reading this whole thread after about a half hour...and some good points made...all I can say is that "Shame on you Green Bay" thread was probably one of the lengthiest and most boring of all time longest threads posted on this site...the shit I read in there almost put me to sleep and it should be deleted altogther..one of the most pointless and worthless reads that one was for sure IMO...the other ones hold way more interest high above that shit one...
