It doesn't mean shit except to their players and their fans. Does anyone really care who won the SEC last season? In the end the only thing that matters is LSU beat Ohio State in the BCS title game. Does anyone even remember that Tennessee played LSU for the SEC title?

Frank,I see what your saying about only players and fans remembering but as far as Bowls,anything before Jan 1 is meaningless.Those games after are JUST as big and important as a conference championship.IMO as a fan of UT,winning the SEC EAST to play for the SEC was as big as the 21-17 win over Wisconsin in the Outback bowl.Lets face it most teams dont have a championship to play for so the Bowl games are important to them.All I know is the BCS waits to name who's playing for the National Title until AFTER the Conference championships.They don't wait till after the bowls.Tells me what the BCS thinks is important.

I do agree that the Major bowls of last year I remember more than the Conference championship.So he does have a point.I think my opinion is a little biased because of how hard it is to win the SEC and how HUGE of a game that is every year.Most of the time you win the SEC your in the hunt for the National Championship.Setting my feelings to the side and looking at all conferences,the MAJOR bowls are more important.

They suck. Fresno State bulldogs are the team to beat this year. OU's done. Sooners don't matter, that is unless they can beat somebody in the A-1 Toilet Bowl this year. After that we'll reconsider this very relevant, important question, 'Has Fresno State replaced the Sooners in the College football hierarchy?"
