The entire NL better be looking over their shoulders .... an offense like they have coupled with the Sabathia/Sheets combo ... Makes them a very scary team .... I can not think of any scarier in a 3-4 game series ...

Also, Parra and Bush have been pitching well lately. McClung has also given them some quality innings. Now, see if the pen can hold leads

CC is the best in the business today, none better IMO. As far as the Brewers pen overall they arent bad its just the guys at the end of the game cant get anybody out......if they had Cordero they might be the NL favorite. Milwaukee should look into trading for a closer the likes of a BJ Ryan, Putz or Kevin Gregg if they can land them somewhat cheap.....maybe even give Borowski a look or inquire about Todd Jones. Just get somebody who is experienced closing games and won't be too expensive. Available closers will become a dime a dozen near the end of this month once teams decide they are out of it.

Brewers are a top contender now if not for the division then for the wild card...even if they dont resign CC who cares because they will get two #1 picks for him as compensation and the Brewers are one of the better teams lately who develop top talent and get them major league ready.

As far as the Indians trading away CC its not that big of a deal especially considering they usually know who to go after in terms of prospects so I expect them to have netted atleast two everyday players out of this deal.....LaPorta and whoever the player to be named is (Im sure it was one of Milwaukee's top picks from this draft that just took place because those guys can't get traded for a full year so that deal should be completed next June)

Good deal for both teams......as far as Cleveland getting more I dont think they couldve because they werent offering teams a window to negotiate with CC so basically its a cash and carry no refund policy.

Ill be quite honest I think the big market teams are at a disadvantage in today's game because those are the teams that have to ditch prospects via trade and sign the big money FA's and if they don't work out basically they are stuck with an old and overpaid team alas the Yankees and now the Tigers.

Angels are the smartest big money team because they never make trades at the deadline so they develop their own talent and when they do spend on FA's they usually make wise choices with somewhat younger players.

          Should be a fun Summer.

          PEACE

To change the subject and until proven otherwise, I don't think any of the NL Teams including the Brewers represent a real threat in the World Series this year at least.
Only three teams out of 16 finished above 500 against the AL this year in Interleague play whereas conversely only two American League teams finished below 500.
The total differential in all games played was a whopping 47 games in favor of the American League.

Anything's better than having Cleveland's bullpen and their stellar 5.14 ERA backing him up.

He leads the league in strikeouts, and has a 3.78 ERA, after a horrible start. This following a CY Young season in which he pitched an ass load of innings. Saying he's overrated is like saying Steve Jobs is overrated in the computer industry.

Just like the NFC had no chance in the SB and the East had no chance against the West in the NBA and the Carda had no chance against the Tigers when the AL dominated Interleague play and the Cards were barely .500?

We should have learned by now history means nothing.

I have to disagree...the Red Sox and Theo. Angels can't compare to Youkilis, Pedroia, Papelbon, Lester, Buchholz, Masterson, Ellsbury, DelCarmen...he has flipped 80% of the roster since the 2004 WS and has kept them at a Championship level. Made some mistakes, but who hasn't?

Anything is possible;however,I have seen all of the NL teams on tv and am simply not impressed generally speaking;check out the All Star game results and most of the WS champions of late.
ps I along with many picked and bet the Celtics to win-diferent circumstances and Celts proved they coudl beat Western teams during the season including the Lakers-don't forget their remarkable sweep of Dallas, Houston and San Antonio over 3 or 4 days.
Also, Superbowl is just one game, where as WS is best of seven, meaning cream usually rises to the top.
