Yes, Because he never came through big in the regular season enough to get them in the playoffs and when they did, no Marino didn't choke? Guess what Mavs, he never once put a team on his back to win a game either. They lost mavs, EVERY single time. That is failure. You want to avoid the choke word, fine. He failed and you can say he didn't all you want but he won NOTHING, EVER, and even you cannot dispute that. Back to my Tom Brady question. Where is your answer. Tell me about all the talent he had around him. You can't mavs because he didn't have any and he certainly didn't have a DUPER & CLAYTON to throw to. Oh yes, and don't tell me it was great coaching in New England because Marino played for one of, if not, the best ever in Shula. Shula won a ton of games and even a perfect super bowl. Even he couldn't pull it off with Marino, not once.

It boggles my mind that you are even arguing that he is great. We agreed on that long ago. Best ever or even top 3? Impossible without a ring.

No, Brady didn't have much around him. Brady is GREAT, and if he retired today TOP 5 of all time. Without a doubt. He IS better than Marino and I never once disputed that.

I never said Marino was top 3, he isn't, even if he did win a title or two, he still wouldn't make my top 3. Marino never won a title. But if you look back at each individual playoff game, it was NEVER Marino's fault. My point was always simply, you can be great without a title. Because sometimes a title just isn't going to happen.

Also, How can you keep talking about how Marino did no wrong in the postseason? Seriously. He made 10 trips to the playoffs and his career postseason record is a stellar (8-10). He had plenty of chances and he obviously had some pretty good teams around him if he made the playoffs 10 TIMES!!!

In those playoff games he threw 32 TD's and 24 INT's. He only had a QB rating of 77.1 in 18 games. You look at SEVERAL Title winning QB's with 10 postseason games or more and except for one year (Roethlisberger), they all have great postseason stats. They step it up in the postseason. Marino never did.

Through the divisional playoffs-conference ship-super bowl the Phins only ever lost TWO games by single digit points. TWO GAMES, both divisional. For the majority of Marino's career, the Dolphins did nothing but win, or get blown out in the playoffs. So where are these GW drives that Marino blew? Or the HUGE interceptions that cost the team the game?

Already been answered Wayne. Right there above. I showed you how his play was never the reason they lost a game. But I guess you can argue that Marino should have been the difference between winning and losing those twenty point games......

No, he should not have .... But he should have played in 3 or 4 Super Bowls and won 1 or 2. He failed and never went back again.

Wayne, look at the scores of those playoff games!! There was not once a situtation where Marino's play was the difference or could have been the difference between a W and an L. He should of got to three or four Superbowls???? When? How? Go back and look at the games, Marino never cost his team in the playoffs

Mavs, You win playoff games 38-35 and you win them 14-10. If they were blowouts, he obviously played a big part because that means he rarely answered with a score to keep pace. You don't get to the playoffs 10 times and fall apart every time. That is an enigma and Marino had it. I used to watch Marino and the Dolphins kick the Patriots ass every year and when the playoffs came around, i scratched my head every year watching Marino play an average game and do nothing to carry his team to a win. I never understood it and always wondered where that DYNAMIC QB from the regular season was. He NEVER put up the numbers in the postseason that he seemed to in the regular season. All the numbers dropped off any many people have said that the pressure got to him in the postseason. I think the results confirm that.

But when you go to the box scores and play by plays, you see that Marino was not the problem in the postseason. He wasn't at all. You say he didn't keep pace in those 38-10 games???? So the Phins lose by 28, the defense gives up 38, and you've found a way to blame Marino. If you want to believe Marino is a choker, okay, believe it. But the stats and scores of the Dolphins games show, Marino was the LEAST of their problems.

1st off, i told you i won't call him a choker.

2nd, YES, if you give up 38, you DAMN WELL better lead your team to more than 10. Do you want me to show you some of the HUGE point totals the GREAT ones put up in the postseason? If you do it in the regular season, you have NO EXCUSE for FAILING EVERY YEAR in the postseason. The QB is the General of a team so yes, he usually does shoulder alot of the blame. Just like he shoulders it when they win. Marino never had to shoulder that.

Will he dive on the floor for a loose ball=yes
Will he dive into the stands after a loose ball=yes
