I still say nobody could touch Jim Thorpe
You can't always get what you want, but if you try some time, you might find, you get what you need.

        OK,

A few things first, I would book any bets from you guys who think that Tiger cant dunk a basketball. He is 6'1" and ripped. He runs 2-5 miles a day, I think his legs are strong enough. Many of you dont know that when he was at Stanford, all athletes go through a school fitness test. Pound for pound, he rated as the #1 top athlete in the school, including all football, basketball and other sports so dont try to say he is not an athlete and golf is not a sport. Tiger could bench twice his weight in college, he is a fitness freak and has changed the game. I rank him as a top 5 athlete of all time. He will rewrite all the records when he is done.

Now, NAscar drivers are tremendous athletes! This is true boys and I am not even a redneck.

Try driving for 4-5 hours in a flameproof sweatsuit, in a car that is around 130 degrees. Then you are undergoing tremendous G-forces in those turns. And what a test of nerves. Notice you dont see many old drivers out there. Those drivers have steel balls.
        NBA is a joke

I understand your point, Jimmy. I'm a mediocre athlete but I did manage to achieve some degree of competence in just about every sport I've tried over the years... football, martial arts, baseball, tennis. Golf is the exception for me. I've played the game for 30+ years, taken lessons, practiced, etc. and I am still nothing but a hacker. Golf is such a mental game.

Totally agree, the mental aspect of golf (along with practice, practice parctice) is really what separtes the hacker from the professional. Tiger is real deal and one of the best athletes of our time.

Based on this above definition hockey players are the most ultimate "ALL AROUND" athletes of any sport in the world IMO....

Funny how Wayne Gretzky isnt mentioned in here....he is the best athlete of all time...

I know I am Canadian and love hockey and may be biased but if you put all that aside and look at everything that an all around good hockey player does from both the finesse aspect to the physical side aswell while doing it all on skates I think its pretty phenomenal IMO....
