Another Example that College football and BCS is a joke

Here's the MONEY TRAIL...read this article and I think it'll put an end to our debate or conversation of ND or possible playoff sys w/in CFB...it's almost depressing since it clearly points out to me that the current sys is entrenched and fortified to stay as is for quite some time. Also to note, I mentioned at one point that it's all about the fans & money, well that is clearly pointed out w/ attendance numbers and TV viewership significantly UP, there simply is not a reason to make the logical changes...

I found this to be a very good read in understanding the who, why, what w/in this BCS decision making...

Jim Delany has a severe ego problem. Yes, college football has boomed the last decade. Imagine what it would do with a playoff. I have to think instead of 900 million it would far exceed a BILLION.

N.D. has been to 3 BCS games and they had 2 losses every time and oh ya' ... They were smoked and undeserving in all 3!

I think they have to go to a playoff system. Yes I know tons of money. Yes I know they play 12 games plus some play conference championship games. Well here is the solution....................

Play 3 Exhibition games of your choice
Play 7 Conference Games

Top 8 teams get

Which means Championship game is number 14

Pittsburgh vs The Citadel
Kansas St vs Morehead
Penn St vs Youngstown St
Oklahoma vs Sam Houston St

I think you get the drift.....

Make the playoff games bowl games which would be a total of 7 Games currently there is 32 games

Instead of watching Rice play Troy and Middle Tenn St play Central Mich

No offense to those teams as they were good teams this year

Lets see the playoffs or who cares if there are 6 extra games.

Lets settle it on the field like every other sport in the world.

I know the question will be how we pick the 8 teams next

which you could do a number of ways giving automatic bids to the teams that win the BCS conferences and having a wildcard or something like that hence the NFL playoffs.

Why would Willingham care when he came from a school in the same class as N.D. (Stanford) and how do teams like B.C. (9 Straight Bowl Wins) & Duke (You know what their hoops have done) succeed without a personal fucken tv deal, a non association to a conference in foots and no TD Jesus??? How???

They have more money than TD Jesus and resources everywhere in the country and they still fail miserably every year when it counts.

Hell, the BCS was even structured with them in mind. Everything is set up to win and they SUCK year after year in BIG games!
