And the winner may very well be playing for a National Championship....

If this is the case then the championship would be decided before the season even starts!

Miami? Big deal! They trounced an average Miami team at home. Here's the problem with the polls. You live in the past. Miami gets ranked high due to their history. They played horrible at home vs an extremely overrated FSU team. FSU has played very ordinary in all 3 games. Let's face it. Miami and FSU are not the powers that they were in the past.

BTW Miami is not in the top-25. Which makes Louisville's win nothing special. We'll see how good Louisville and West Va. are in a few weeks when they play each other. The loser will drop from the top-10.
Louisville hasn't beaten teams they have CRUSHED them. Regardless of how average you think miami is their defense is no joke. They have athletes and louisville had no problem moving the ball against them with and without brohm...not to mention without one of the best RB in the country michael bush! To discount louisville would be foolish.

i think you like to play devils advocate too much frank...on one hand you say records dont' matter on the other you want to know who they have beaten....if it their record doesn't matter, then why do you care who they have beat?

Devils advocate? Or does my opinion differ from yours and others? I think my opinion differs and I'm not shy about expressing my opinion.

I don't discount Louisville. I think they are a great team. I ranked them #10. I was replying to Dimer's question "who has W Va beat". Miami has proven they are a very ordinary team. I'm not swayed by Louisville's win at home over Miami.

I disagree with you. Miami's defense is overrated. You judge it by what the 'experts' in the media say. Most of those experts are idiots. I think the BC experts have more knowledge. Miami lost to a very average team in FSU. FSU was beat last weekend at home by Clemson. Miami and FSU will both have 4 or 5 losses this season.

Lots of teams have excellent athletes. That doesn't make them a good team.

In many cases records don't matter. Many season undefeated teams don't get the chance to play for the national title. Why? Regardless of their record they are not the best team in the country.

Is a 3-0 Boston College team better than a 2-1 LSU team? I doubt it.

Who has LSU beat, NO ONE and they have been beaten. Those girls couldnt score more than 3 points, gimme a break Frank. I'm not saying Louisville is better than anyone ahead of them,BUT I FUCKING GAURANTEE YOU THEY WOULD SCORE MORE THAN 3 POINTS ON ANYONE ANYWHERE. If you cant muster more offense than that, you dont deserve to be in the top 10

That's the tricky thing about college. You have to remember these are children playing this game. I have a lot of respect for LSU, but that Aub/LSU game is like that every year. I don't think you can take a true snapshot of that team for the auburn game. auburn couldn't score more than 7 points...does that mean you discredit them too?

They lost by 4 points on the road to the #2 ranked team. It was a game the very well could have won with the correct call.

Using your logic Auburn only scored 7 points so they shouldn't be ranked #2. Michigan scored 47. Does that mean they should be ranked #1 because they scored more than Ohio St, USC and Auburn?
