Do you remember the Seattle team that won like 140 games??? Regular season records do not dictate how they finish in the post season. They will all be back to (0-0) and that's where experience IS a factor!

The one thing that can't be denied is head to head and that's all that really matters ... And the Tigers have not shown up for those!

the devil rays and twins wont be in the playoffs....the tigers will be playing top teams if they get there....and if they cant beat them now why would they be able to beat them when it matters....there is no doubt they are a good team...they are just not ready to win it all yet imo.

You are entitled to your opinion-The Sox may have had trouble with Tampa and Minn. BUT these are not teams they are likely to have to face in the playoffs as are Yanks, Red Sox and White Sox, who by anyone's standards are considered the elite teams of the American League.
The point is that the Red Sox, Yankees and White Sox have proven themselves in the post season and have a wealth of experience;Detroit does not, and that is why they are rated behind Red Sox, Chicago and even with the Yankees by Vegas in their chances of winning WS.
Remember it was you who said Tigers are the "team to beat." I merely said Red Sox chances are as good as anyone's.

get that XM thingie.......for 12 bucks a month its a bargain....u can take it anywhere and even play it in the car........you can actually bet on games and still have a life by getting out of the house.

I think the Tigers ARE for Real pimp, mainly because of their pitching. I think they can contend for years to come if they keep that staff together. I just think they are about a year away. Just being in the Playoffs this season would do a ton of good heading into next year too!

Geez Wayne thanx man..........i hope the White Sox win today just for ya and then the Red Sox can win em all except when they play the Tigers.

Schilling is the man and he shouldve gotten another win if it wasnt for Papelbon.....but boy is Papelbon great also.

Red Sox winning all these games and thats with some of their best pitchers not even pitching to capabilities. I can only imagine the damage they will cause once Beckett gets really going and Wakefield gets 100% and Lester gets a bit more experience.
