the fades aint going nowhere and when the fades start up again just post the service plays in the fade area..theres ways around everything..no other sites are closing there service section ...believe me the service plays and fades will be around for ever..Maybe not here but somewhere..Monte owns this site and he can make any decision he wants even if we dont agree,,but this isnt the end of the world..and most of us new this since feb....just keep posting away and the fades will be done here regardless,,good luck guys..all sites are getting threatening letters from lawyers about being sued.all the owners react different..Most know they dont have a leg to stand on .some dont care ..Monte doesnt want the hassle i suppose and he wants to close shop..No other sites are going to close there service area i know that for a fact.so there always be places to get all the plays we need..

Again perhaps I shouldn't post anything until Monte gives his explanation, but my understanding is that any possible lawsuits can be brought about if the writeups supporting the picks are posted but NOT the picks themselves, as in the first instance, the writeups could be considered an infringement on the rights of those doing the writeups;however simply giving the picks with no writeups from what I have been told is NOT illegal because only the names of teams are being given out, and NO ONE including the sports services have the right to say that they have an exclusive right to these names(of the teams).
Again and this is not a legal opinion, if I ran a thread like this, I would merely tell those listing the picks of the services to say something akin to "Such and such service mentioned these teams today." That would be the cue as to who the service liked, and again stating the name of team or teams is NOT illegal, as they are known entities and no one has the exlusive right to use their names.

we can start a lawsuit against the services and the reports also like they want to against monte..especially when they lose..There giving us bad info and plays..if u buy a report or service and they give u losers or false plays you can sue them too..its no big deal...the plays will be around 24/7 365...

            From the Law books...

"Copyright law serves to protect a person's original work. The holder of a copyright determines how the work may be copied or used. Copyrights may be applied to the following: literary works, movies, musical works, sound recordings, paintings, computer programs, and industrial design. Copyrights do not protect ideas, but rather the specific expression of an idea."

In other words, service picks do NOT fit these catagories, thus: they're full of shiitte. To be safe, posts picks ONLY>

Post 'em if you got 'em.
            Hope this helps.

New York Yankees at Los Angeles Angels
                Thursday, July 21, 10:05 P.M. EST

Bartolo Colon has struggled against the Yankees in his career. Colon has an ERA of 7.09 in his last five starts versus the Yankees. Colon's home ERA is 7.41 in his three career home starts versus New York. Randy Johnson has a 4.94 ERA in his last five starts. Johnson has an ERA of 5.01 in his last five road starts. Johnson gave up five earned runs in his only career start at Anaheim. Look for both offenses to get on track tonight as this one sails over the number.

To be honest, I haven't clicked on a service thread in months, as it's just easier, and more profitable, to follow the likes of Wayne, EZ, Chuck, etc..........

That being said, I know Spark puts his heart and soul into the service threads and this site in general, and i'm going to drink a diet root beer in his honor.

                    Nice job, Sparkster.

Game: Seattle Mariners @ Toronto Blue Jays on Jul 21 2005 12:35PM

                            Prediction: Over

                            Current Line: -115

                            Over/Under: 9.5 -115

Reason: A couple of pitcher's in terrible form will take the mound as the Mariners and Jays close out their series on Thursday afternoon.

The Mariners will hand the ball to Joel Pineiro. The over has cashed in each of his last four starts and he owns a 5.68 ERA over his last three outings. Six of his nine road starts have gone over the total. He has also allowed nine earned runs over his last 13 1/3 innings pitched against Toronto. Things won't improve against the Jays red hot bats on Thursday.

Toronto starter Josh Towers is also in poor form. He has given up 11 earned runs over his last nine innings pitched. The over is 6-2 in his day starts this season, where he owns a 6.14 ERA. the Mariners bats should get to him early and often on Thursday.

Both teams are hitting very well right now and should have little trouble sending this one over the total. Take the over.-
