Scoreboard W / L
Seattle at Toronto, July 21
Sport: MLB - Major League Baseball 1 Units
Prediction: over 9.5
Line: 9.5
Explanation: A couple of pitcher`s in terrible form will take the mound as the Mariners and Jays close out their series on Thursday afternoon.
The Mariners will hand the ball to Joel Pineiro. The over has cashed in each of his last four starts and he owns a 5.68 ERA over his last three outings. Six of his nine road starts have gone over the total. He has also allowed nine earned runs over his last 13 1/3 innings pitched against Toronto. Things won`t improve against the Jays red hot bats on Thursday.
Toronto starter Josh Towers is also in poor form. He has given up 11 earned runs over his last nine innings pitched. The over is 6-2 in his day starts this season, where he owns a 6.14 ERA. the Mariners bats should get to him early and often on Thursday.
Both teams are hitting very well right now and should have little trouble sending this one over the total. Take the over.
No matter what your views on service plays and no matter how good the regular forum cappers are you can't deny that the service play thread got more views than any other and brought a volume of viewers to this site.
If this happened six months ago, I would have not cared because the service plays suck. But, because they suck, they are the basis for the fade plays. I have been waiting for football because fading the NFL service plays will make us big bucks.
Having said that, the problem now is finding another way to share the service picks. EMail is one idea but why not start a group at someplace like Yahoo. There must be thousands of little groups at these places so why not one more. I do know info that is posted there can automatically be sent to other members of the group by email or better yet, I think you can go to a web site for the group to see everything. Just something to think about if all else fails.
Remember last year, some guys got told by their service that if they continue to post there plays, there would be bogus plays entere into there mailbox. I know the service and the guys who ru it are okay, but I guess they figuire they can't make money with us sharing their picks.
Everyone here, has the Aloha spirit and wants the same thing.....that everyone makes money and to help out each other anyway we can.
We do have some very good cappers here, so don't worry gang, we'll be fine!!!!!
Lets just wait till tomorrow, and see what Monte has to say, and give him the suport he deserves!
"Sometimes it's not what you play, but what you don't play."
guys...what is a service?just guys that hit 60 maybe 70%....they study the stats and the team and their players...and put out THEIR opinion...well the guys on here...just to name a few sustain dan, spear-it, bigweiner, chuck cheese, chicagodog and i could go on....they have won me big money and their not a professional service but what the differece.....THEY DONT CHARGE....but they are JUST as good...so lets just keep bettor chat going with us and we can still win....thanks to all
Fellows---don't jump to any conclusions as to how or why this is happening....Monte knows what he is doing, lets wait for his statement, and then Give him "Full Support", as to how he wants to handle it.....
Patience---there is nothing that can't be worked out, if we pull together as a team, most important is to support Monte/Wayne/Spark when they need it.....
Could anyone imagine how tough it was for Monte to make this decision?? ... I would not want to be in that position .. As the owner of the site he wants to keep everyone happy ... I just wish everyone here knew Monte the way a few of us do .. The guy is fantastic ... He works very hard on this site ... The pressure and the aggravation is/was too much to keep this thread open ...
When I first came here that is all I did, post plays in this thread .. i never went on the board ... When Monte decided to pull this thread his words to me where ... and I hope you do not mind Monte ... he said, "Spark, I know how much you enjoy the service thread .. I hope you understand" ... Now, does that sound like someone who does not care about the people here??... Give the guy the support he deserves ..
The fade factors will stay ... I hope Rip, Krunch, Truckin will continue to help us in there ...
Obviously I am waiting in anticipation of Monte's explanation of this decision, and of course we will all have to accept it.
I still feel quite confident that because of the nature of sports services, which disseminates information about an activity(sports betting) which is ILLEGAL in all states except Nevada, that there will be a way(possibly private emails) for all of us to continue to receive the opinions of the sports services with no legal ramifications.
I am not a lawyer but if the issue is over possible lawsuits, I cannot possibly imagine the basis of any lawsuit brought on by a plaintiff because of the fact that sports services and their business of their operations operate within the shady area of the law to begin with. jmho
In the worst case scenario, there cannot possibly be any basis for not being able to post comp. plays for obvious reasons.
I dont see why the service thread has to close? It cant be a legal issue. The services dont own the rights to their picks. The names are owned by the NFL/mlb and so on. If monte is getting threats to get sued then he should just go on and let them. It could be a landmark case, who knows?? Bottom line is people are paying cappers for there opinion nothing more nothing less and it should be posted freely once someone pays for the pick. I honestly could careless about the service thread i dont use it but i know many do, and for that I see a major problem. If monte shuts down the service thread he is simply catering to the demands of the services. Which to me is a utter joke. I really do hope this is all a crock.
