forget the seafood kb. the italian food up here is hands down the best in the nation. its not even close
After all the Olive Garden and different little Italian chain restaurants I've eaten around here, I'm not sure I'd like the authentic Italian that you have up there. There is one place that opened up about a year ago hear and they claim they are an authentic Italian restaurant and I ate there once and that will be my last
my boss vacations in maine and rhode island, loves that part of the country, when its not winter
Tourism is huge up here. All you see in the summer are plates on cars from Mass., Florida and Canada. Lobster stands are everywhere in the summer and people can't get enough of corn on the cob & lobster. We have the Rockland Lobster festival and Yarmouth Clam festival every summer and you can eat clams and lobsters in 1,000 different ways. Kb would be in heaven. I guess that's why we call ourselves vacationland!
If you like lobster and have never had it fried ... Not many people sell it but i would plop down $100 and tell them to fill me up! OMG!!!!
We have Pacific coast lobster here.....The tails are huge.

My uncle is a lawyer in Cali. and he has Maine Lobster shipped out there for him and his friends about 6 times a year. He said their lobsters don't even taste right. A big difference is cold and warm water. Lobsters in warm water have a totally different taste.

I've been to a ton of italian rest. and Olive Garden is still my favorite!!!
What's the best way to cook a lobster? I've heard conflicting theories. I believe the best way I've had it is, baked in an oven and then tossed onto a BBQ for a few minutes. It stays very moist and doesn't get rubbery in an oven.....Ever heard of that Whayne?

I've been eating lobster since birth and never heard of cooking it in an oven unless it was stuffed lobster tails or something. It probably has to do with the toughness of warm weather lobsters. It's not like that here. They are either boiled or steamed and that's it. Tails or lobster pies are cooked in the oven but even that is after they have been cooked and picked clean.

Ever bbq up here has an outdoor propane cooker or steamer next to it for lobsters. The grill is for steak, chicken, ribs and burgers!
