kb, in Maine, Seafood Restaurants are on every corner like Mcdonalds. The lobster, scallops and haddock is pulled out of the ocean in the morning and delivered for the menu that night. People from Mass. even come to Maine for Lobster. I don't know why it is so different from here but people all over the country call for it. A seafood platter in Maine is unmatched (imo). The shit melts in your mouth and when we went down south, we couldn't find any of that.

are there alot of good local places to go to eat? i generally when traveling try to avoid chain rest. i find that the best eats are at local places. if you know of any good steak/seafood places that you'd recommend we'd definately go

I'll give you some good local places bry. There is not a ton of steak houses per say up here as most specialize in seafood. I know of a good italian place nearby and a few great seafood places and one steak house that is famous up here. It is probably 20-30 minutes South of OOB but the steak is unfrigginbelievable!
