Well like always I bounce back strong with an overall Winning Day on Thursday...should have been better....Still cant believe what happened in the 9th inn of the Minny game...and also the Over not hitting in the Yankees game....But overall we still came out on the winning end and thats all that matters anyways..

Today on "Aloha Friday", I will have plays in the College Bases Playoffs Games to go with my MLB Card ...If anyone wants to come on board for todays solid pro/college action just let me know...

Wash/Texas Under 9.5 -108



-I love this National's starter Patterson..and feel he will give this team another solid dependable arm in the future...Many dont know about this guy and that is always a good thing for me as he has flown under the radar since coming back off the DL...Since his return he is 3-0 with an ERA of 1.50 and a WHIP of 1.05...His only lost was in his season's debut at Florida but then went on the DL only to come back and show his true worth...He has only given up 1 HR in his 10 games and this is a very important, because this field is a lauching pad for Bombs, which we don't need today.

Roger's ERA is the best in the AL at 2.02...but he is coming off his worst loss of the season and I like that alot....Why you say do you like this?...Well, because the Gambler is now at Home were he has won his last 4 games and where in this span his ERA is 1.28 and where he has only given up 1 Bomb in his 6 starts...Bombs are a bad thing today so you dont need any starters who has the tendencies to give it up...

Roger's also has a WHIP of .864 in his last 3 games and the Under is 9-4 in his starts this year...Now another thing which should help both of these starters today is the fact that they have not faced either team yet in their careers, and this most times gives the edge to the pitchers...which helps the scoring in the early innings or until the rotation figures them and their timing out...And I say "IF"...so they both will have an edge...Good for keeping this one Under...

Nationals may be winning alot now..but in their last 5 games they have only scored an avg of 2.6 rpg...and if not for that 1st game vs the Angels where they gave up 11 runs, something they havent done frequently...their defense would of avg only giving up alittle over 1.5 rpg in this span...Solid!

The Under is 16-6 in Wash last 22 games after shutting out an opponent...and 2-1 this year...The Under in Wash games is also 12-8 vs LHPs. ..and both teams have gone Under more times in their Night games played this year.

Patterson and the Nats Bullpen (ERA 2.38 overall and 3.77 last 3) should take care of their end getting the Under....and the Gambler should take care of Texas end at keeping this one Under as well...I love the Under tonight....

-In this one I gotta go with the A's who has been on a bit of a run of late and their offense has awaken while it seems that the Phils are so lost away from home and their big sticks are asleep...needed extra innings just to avoid the sweep with their Ace on the hill yesterday...And they have only scored 5 runs in their series with Seattle...Oakland's former Cy Young Winner the Weird One Zito takes the hill and you gotta like how he has been turning things around of late...Phillies go with a young unknown in Tejada making only his 2nd start, which is basically only because Wolf is out....He has 13 K's to 14 Walks and I never like them numbers at all....Oaktown All the Way!

Texas 4-0 mid 6th inning lets SWEEP these two tonight, just like we did yesterday....GL and Aloha CC.

-In short Philly's Lidle pitching very well on road this year going 3-2 with an a 2.87 ERA in 7 road starts, including 2 straight wins..Philly also won 9 of Lidle's last 11 starts...Oakland is only 13-32 vs RHPs, averaging 3.7 rpg and .239 hitting at the plate...Oaklands Saarlos 2-4..but allowing .283 BAA at home where he is 1-2 and ERA of 6.16...Philly's Bullpen last 3, 1.88 ERA, .91 Whip...Philly also 7-3 interleague play..Oak only 5-8 in interleague play.....Oak just 3-7 on Sat...Philly 7-4 on Sat games....Oak 9-17 in Day games while Philly is 16-9 in Day games....Philly seem to have found their sticks and that is a good thing to go along with their defense who holds opps to just 4.1 rpg on the Road while Oak's defense at home allowing 5.2 rpg....Philly Today.

-Yanks has outscored their opponents the last 5 games 39 to 13..and are on a 5 game winning streak...The Cubs meanwhile has gone cold since they caught fire mid-June...and now has lost 5 of their last 6 games...Check this stat out.

Besides that 14-0 Blowout of Florida with Beckett on the hill....in their last 5 losses they scored only 14 runs to opponents 49 runs....WOW!...This comes out to 2.8 rpg in their last 5 losses, while they gave allowed opponents to average a whooping 9.8 rpg in this span....

Yanks at Home this year is 21-13 averaging 5.8 rpg, hitting .289 at the plate, and .364 OBP...Inaddition to this, the Yanks at Home have 49 HRs in there 34 Home games..

The Cubs send Mitre to the hill today...and although he pitched well in his last 3 starts...This will be only his 2nd Road start of the year and his first in the Evil Empires domain...If you think he doesnt remember what happened to him in his first Road start where his ERA is 9.64, WHIP 1.927, lasted only 4.7 innings, allowed 5 ERs, on 6 hits, 3 walks, and striking out none....then you better believe its on his mind knowing that he is facing this All-Star Lineup today....

Yanks send Mussina today to the hill...and he, on the other hand has been doing his best work at Home...and eventhough his record only reflects a 3-2 record...his ERA is 2.63, WHIP is 1.195, giving up just 12 ERs, and just 8 walks in 41 innings of work...Perfect low ERA to take care of the slumping offense of the Cubs....
