Yanks has outscored their opponents the last 5 games 39 to 13..and are on a 5 game winning streak...The Cubs meanwhile has gone cold since they caught fire mid-June...and now has lost 5 of their last 6 games...Check this stat out.

Besides that 14-0 Blowout of Florida with Beckett on the hill....in their last 5 losses they scored only 14 runs to opponents 49 runs....WOW!...This comes out to 2.8 rpg in their last 5 losses, while they gave allowed opponents to average a whooping 9.8 rpg in this span....

Yanks at Home this year is 21-13 averaging 5.8 rpg, hitting .289 at the plate, and .364 OBP...Inaddition to this, the Yanks at Home have 49 HRs in there 34 Home games..

The Cubs send Mitre to the hill today...and although he pitched well in his last 3 starts...This will be only his 2nd Road start of the year and his first in the Evil Empires domain...If you think he doesnt remember what happened to him in his first Road start where his ERA is 9.64, WHIP 1.927, lasted only 4.7 innings, allowed 5 ERs, on 6 hits, 3 walks, and striking out none....then you better believe its on his mind knowing that he is facing this All-Star Lineup today....

Yanks send Mussina today to the hill...and he, on the other hand has been doing his best work at Home...and eventhough his record only reflects a 3-2 record...his ERA is 2.63, WHIP is 1.195, giving up just 12 ERs, and just 8 walks in 41 innings of work...Perfect low ERA to take care of the slumping offense of the Cubs....

-Cubs just 2-4 after 3 or more consecutive losses.
-Cubs just 4-7 in Inter-league play.
-Yanks 11-2 after 3 or more consecutive wins.
-Last two between these two saw the Yanks put up 17 runs to the Cubs 7...3 Bombs to the Cubs 1...and 28 hits to the Cubs 19...and 0 Errors to the Cubs 2 errors..

Today, the Evil Empire brings Home the Big Bacon for all the Daddies!

btw, will post another Comp Play later so check back for it if interested...Till then, GL and Aloha CC.

          • FYI: ..My Three-TOP RATED PLAYS OF THE DAY...on "Big Monday"

**TOP RATED PLAYS OF THE DAY ON:

            St Louis Cards -150 (WINNER!)

-St Louis keeps on running right over opponents like a well oiled machine...I dont even think they even stumbled long enough to consider it a losing streak....So far they are 44-22 overall and that is their best start in 60 years....60 not 6, and this confirms to me just how special this Cardinal team is...To me they have it all offense, defense, pitching, hitting, base running....and probably the most important and very overlooked asset to any team, Strong Respected Leadership...who actions say more and does more than any words can say....This Card team is lead by imo the best player in the league in Pujols....and his leadership, silent as it may seem to be...it surely has very loud positive results and this is what is invaluable....because others will do what you do nad not what you say...

The Cards are getting it done not only at the plate...but also on the hill...especially behind todays starter Carpenter who is going for his 10th win today, coming off a solid complete game shutout of the the B-Jays where he K'ed 10, gave up 1 hit, and1 walk..in the Cards 4-0 win at Toronto....Currently, his stats is Awesome.....In his 4 starts vs Cincy..he is allowing them to hit avg of .198, has a WHIP of .84, ERA of 2.20 and only allowed 3 HRs in this 4 game span vs them....

In his 6 Road starts he has a ERA of 1.90, WHIP of .96, and is allowing opponents to hit only .203 against him..while also only giving up 3 HRs in this span....In fact, in his last 5 games overall, he has only given up 1 HR....This is important stat because the Reds are one of the best HR hitting teams led by Jr Griffery, and the long ball is what they depend on to get wins...Carpenter will make them earn it today and I dont see him giving up any easy ones today....In his last 5 games, he has recorded 38 K's, only 8 walks, 1 HR, and 6 ERs ...Solid!

            Some Stats...

            -St Louis 6-1 on Mondays..
-St Louis 12-5 vs div opponents.
            -St Louis 31-17 vs RHPs.
-St Louis 23-12 on the Road.

            -Cincy 9-19 vs div opponents.
            -Cincy 19-30 vs RHPs.
            -Cincy 6-11 in June.

-St Louis, 19 runs in their 3 game sweep of TB...and 28 runs in their last 5 games where they went 4-1...Cincy 1-6 in their last 7 games scoring 23 runs in this span...

**TOP RATED DOG OF THE DAY ON:

Boston Red Sox +101 (WINNER!) ........ comp play

-Hold on and wait just one minute here...Cleveland goes on a run and all of a sudden they deserve to be installed as a favorite over the defending World Champs....I dont think so.....Boston has been on a run as well going 6-1 in their last 7 games...and they are doing it with alot of offensive consistancy as well...In fact, in Boston's last 9 games they have failed to put up at least 6 runs or more in only one time in this span.

Clev sends CC to the hill tonight...but he has struggled of late and in his last 3 games where he has an ERA of 5.00, WHIP of 1.33, went 1-0...but allowed 10 ERs, on 18 hits, walked 6, with 12 K's in just 18 innings....CC is also 1-2 lifetime vs Boston..and his team when he started against Boston have only won once in his 4 career starts vs them...

Wells tonight gets the call for Boston...and I like the way he has turned things around of late...In fact, in his last 3 games he is 2-0, with an impressive ERA of just 1.64, a WHIP of .727...while only allowing 14 hits, 4 ERs, 1 HR, just 2 walks, and 11 K's...And, one of these solid wins was on the road at St Louis vs Carpenter, and Wells lead the RS to a 4-0 win....This indicates to me he is in Full Control Mode and that is always a good thing...Wells, in the past has dominated Clev posting a career record of 14-2 vs them with a lifetime ERA of 3.48 and WHIP of 1.225...Solid!

You simply cannot pass up this situation where we have Boston at a small dog to an even bet...No way, especially when this RS team still has that potent lineup who is still hitting .282 overall at the plate, .356 OBP, and who are still averaging 10 hits per game on the road..

Clev still an average hitting team...who has not been even near as consistant at the plate as these RS were all season...and in times like this you need to watch out that they will start cooling off as things start to balance out or go back to being alittle cooler like it was before...Everyone feels Cleveland is the hottest team right now in the Majors, and I agree to some point...However, the Sox have been Hot as well...if you want to call something they have normally been all season...Also, if you look at 3 of Cleveland last 4 games..you can see that a possible trend is occurring...which to me says that this Hot Clev Offense is starting to cool off, at least in the runs that they were putting up in this span which besides that DD win, was just averging 2.7 rpg in the other 3 games in this span.....Bottom line, Boston will win this one...as you cant make them a Dog and expect them to lay down a sit up on the Indians commands...and especially with Well's on the hill who is already inbedded in the heads of this whole Indian organization due to his dominance over them.....Boston Barks and Bites Indian Ass Tonight!...Bow Wow Baby!.

**TOP RATED TOTALS PLAY OF THE DAY ON:

            Giants/Zona Over 8 -110 (Pending)

-Two teams with no Bullpen and no Closer..but who's offense's is hitting and scoring some runs of late and vs some very solid pitchers as well...

Zona in their last 5 games have scored 25 runs for an average of 5 rpg...while they allowed opponents to score 35 runs or 7 rpg in this span....SF in their last 5 games have scored 23 runs or 4.6 rpg average....while allowing opponents to score 29 runs or 5 rpg average in this span..

Overall Zona and SF has allowed opponents to average 5.4 rpg against them....and both Zona's Vasquez and SF's Lowry in their last 3 games went over in two out of the three games....Vasquez in his last 3 games has a whooping ERA of 7.00, and WHIP of 1.333....While SF's Lowry in his last 3 games also seen his ERA skyrocket to 6.46, and a WHIP to 1.826....Solid Over Indicators!

            Other Stats I like...

-Over was 10-7 in SF vs Zona in the past 3 seasons..
-Over is 11-6 in Zona's games this month.
-Over is 11-5 in SF's games played this month.

*Ok Gang...if you on these them lets get the Sweep Em tonight....If not, then you can always get the Rest of My Best..anytime by just contacting me at the Email Addy below....Till then, dont keep missing the $$$ Train, as I will have more of these solid plays coming up in the near future...The very near.future....Aloha CC.

                  • UPDATE 4 "SUPER TUESDAY"

-Aloha Gang...these were the Two Special-TOP RATED PLAYS and their indepth Write-Ups I released today ...one being a TRP of the Week, which is a play that just missed out on qualifying as a "BGP" ...and another TRP of the Day ...just like yesterday's, which Swept going 3-0 on the day..

**TOP RATED PLAY OF THE WEEK ON:

                    Atlanta -114 (EZ 5-0 WINNER!)

-Smolz the Ace of the Braves and only starter left who is not on the DL...but, the only starter beside Hampton who has kicked ass and continue to show his value on a consistant basis...Smoltz has currently won 3 of last 4 and is coming off a solid outing at Cincy where he led the semi-depleted Braves to a 5-2 win, allowing only 2 runs on 4 hits, and striking out 9 with only 1 walk, in 8 solid innings on the hill..

Florida, on the other hand, sends their hard throwing Burnett to the mound...where he just ended a 7 game winless streak when he faced the Cubs at Wrigley last Weds...One thing to beware of though, is that in this game...Burnett was tagged for 5 ERs, on 11 hits, and only lasted alittle over 6 innings...Plus, his dominance over batters at the plate was not as dominant as he only struck out two hitters while walking one...And, another to remember, is that his offense which was alittle dormant of late...had a big awakening party on aging Maddux..which they had 4 HRs, on 20 hits, that led to a 15 to 5 win that day...But again, it was Florida's offense and not Burnett's pitching that put this game away from the start..
Braves are coming into this game off a 7 game Road swing which they went 4-3..and which is a solid result in this situation they were in...They were going on the road after a terrible and pathetic home stand and was also making the trip without their starters...leaving them to start rookies and relievers over this 7 games..They were also without their big bat in Chipper Jones and without him in the lineup, their offense seem to fave fallen asleep abit...This situation was clearly not a good thing for them going on the Road like this...however, like always, they seem to show and fall back on their history of dominance in this division and remembered who they were...this confidence thus carried over to the Rookies and relievers, as well as their lineup who had to step up to provide the support to them and also to make up for the absence of Chipper in the lineup...And, impressively they did, almost even getting a 4 game sweep against the Reds something they havent accomplished in over 20 years...One thing this tells me is that their offense is working and very much capable of banging it out..and next, that Bobby seems to have gottend more control and feel of his bullpen which will play an important role until their starters come back from injuries...I was one of the very few who even gave the Braves a chance on the road...but something was telling me that they had no choice but to make the run inroder to make it later...So we sided with them in all three games almost getting the Sweep, if not for Jr Griffey's HR..

Today that kind of game which resulted in so many points being put up is not expected to repeat itself...and not with the Veteran Smoltz on top of his game of late....Smoltz vs Florida , is 10-4 with 20 saves and a 2.63 ERA in 46 appearances (17 starts)...Burnett, on the other hand, vs the Braves has a career 4-7 record, with a 4.03 ERA in 14 career appearances (13 starts) against them.

I also like the fact that the Braves are not the only ones who will be coming into this game with a bullpen that has struggled this year....Currently Florida's Bullpen has been struggling as well and especially on the road...Remember, what they did to lose that 1 run lead and the game their star Willis pitched at La....Yup, 2 Fricken Jacks given up, one to lose the lead and the other to lose the game...Plus making it even worse is the fact that it was given up to one player in the Angels Vlad, the best hitter on that team....This is another thing that makes me like the Braves Bullpen even more...as the Marlins seem to not only have dummies for relief duties, but they also got dummies for pitching coaches as well....What the hell were they thinking even pitching to him and also with 2 outs...Just swallow your pride and play smart baseball...This game is about wins not egos...However, I dont think that they even know the mistake that they did in that one..and because of this, I am expecting them to do the same if in the position again in this one...If they do, I see the Braves as well taking them deep..cause thats just what the Braves are known to do..when you least expect them to.

Furthermore, the Florida Bullpen on the Road this year has a whooping ERA of 7.77 and a WHIP of 1.890...and look at these pathetic numbers....In 73 innings they gave up 63 ERs, 104 Hits, 10 HRs, only 50 Ks, 2 Saves to 6 BSV....and their W/L record on the Road is 0-7...Now thats bad! ....The Braves Bullpen though still not that good as well has shown alot of moxy and gained alot of experience on this road trip, which they have performed rather decently...This new confidence should carry over to this one that is now back at Home...where they have a 8-1 Save to BSV record..and where their ERA is way better than Florida's ERA on the Road....
In this one though the only Bullpen who will see action is Florida's and this is due to Atlanta's Smoltz's ability to go Deeep into the game...In fact, in his last 3 starts, he not only kept his ERA average almost the same as it is overall...but he was able to post a low WHIP of .987....and in his last 3 starts, he was able to go an average of 8.4 innings Deeeeep....Soooolid!

Other Stats I like favoring the Braves tonight....

-Atlanta 16-6 vs Florida at Home
                    -Atlanta 19-11 at Home....and are 108-58 following a loss.
-Florida only 13-17 on the Road.....2-4 as a Road Dog of +100 to +125
-Florida's Burnett already lost at Atlanta on May 4th....5 to 2, while only lasting 6 innings, giving up 9 hits, 2 walks, and 3 ERs....in the loss.

Only Bottom line I need here is Smoltz dominates the Fish and has proven his Value and ability to go deeeep is something that Burnett cant do as he is one hard throwing pitcher whose arm does get worked and when it goes so does he....and thats when dead meat comes walking in to hand out Free passes around the bases...Atlanta's bullpen gets a rest tonight with the Veteran Smoltz who can carry this team all the way to the end....Tonight he get win 11 over the Fish in solid fashion like always.... Go Braves!

**TOP RATED TOTALS PLAY OF THE DAY ON:

                    Cubs/Milw Over 8.5 -112 (LOSE BY 2.5 RUNS) :angryfire

-Local Hawaiian born Williams who got dealt to the Cubs ...is not going to overpower anyone ...he will be hit hard and hit ofter tonight...The Cubs may struggle a bit with Santos..but they have the power hitters to hurt him and send this one over easy...Sorry Jason but gotta go with the Over as I dont see you stopping Milws bats tonight...and especially because you couldnt the last time you played them on April 24...where they tagged you for 9 hits, and 6 runs in alittle over 5 innings on the hill...Inaddition, Williams in his career vs the Brew Crew is only 1-1 but has a Whopping ERA of 7.36.....

Milw sends Santos to the hill and although he has decent numbers on the year...he is 0-2 in his last 4 starts and was beaten by TB in his last game where he allowed 8 hits and 5 ERs..in just 6 innings of work...This is not good to hear especially since now he must face the hottest hitter in the league in Chicago's Lee..who also has teammate along side him who as well have been smacking the ball really well....One of them being Ramirez, Perez, Walker, Patterson, and Burnitz who is 14 for his last 28 with two Jacks and 5 RBI's in this span.

The Cubs got 11 hits in the other game....and that is the 16th time in 23 games where they have had 10 or more hits...I see the Cubs taking a lead late in the game...and that is a good thing as that means we get the full at bats for the game...I just hate it when they dont...But tonight may not need it anyway.

Zona in their last 5 games have seen their avg runs go down to just 3 rpg...But Halsey's last 3 starts his ERA is 9.82 and WHIP is 2.181..so theres where the difference may come from...In fact in Halsey's last three games this is the total scores combined 19, 13, & 13....SF in their last 5 games have seen their runs per a game go up to 5.3 rpg average....and Schmidt last 3 starts he has a ERA of 6.35 and WHIP of 1.471....And, in his last 4 Home games these were the combined final scores 13, 15, 8, 19....
