I hate to see any of my sons sick or scared...as a parent I feel a big responsibility to keep them safe and happy. I cant imagine the terror this little girl went through at the hands of her own mom,,,,thats the worst part of it all, it was the person responsible for keeping her safe that killed her...cassies day will come

I would go to the ends of the worlds for my daughters. Casey didn't. That does not make Casey a murderer. It makes Casey psychotic. It makes Casey a schizophrenic.

You say blind. I say impartial. I wasn't influenced by the 3 year witch hunt because I didn't pay attention to the case until the trial started.

My follow up is this.....I firmly believe anyone .....ANYONE whom takes actions to intentionally kill another human being in anyway is Fucked up and mentally crazy....Why because I know i never could do that. So by that theory everyone who ever killed someone is mentally disturbed. which means if anyone who is on death row should be free to walk away.

God forbid one of my sons die but I don't see how my life could go on without them. The thought of a parent dumping a kid out like trash to be covered by maggots for 31 days while I party like a rockstar is so far beyond my belief its crazy. Casey will stand before God one day and get her judgement and I hope to God those 12 jurors are right behind her and get the same thing.

One strand of hair with conflicting testimony on that strand of hair. There was conflicting testimony within the FBI. The state called some experts while the defense called others. REASONABLE DOUBT.




It was a high profile case. The state wanted murder 1 and the death penalty. The defense had no choice but to bring it to trial.

Chloroform? No chloroform, traces of chloroform or materials to make chloroform were found in the house. The state was reaching with the chloroform theory. I'm an IT professional. the computer searches hurt the states case. The computer expert from Canada fabricated the evidence. There wasn't 84 searches for how to make chloroform. Chloroform isn't easy to make. It's also very dangerous to make. I don't believe Casey chloroformed her daughter to death. Casey was only on the "How to Make Chloroform" page for seconds before returning to MySpace.

I don't believe Casey murdered her daughter. I believe it was an accidental death in one fashion or another. This is Florida. I believe Caylee might have died from being left in the car. She died from hyperthermia and Casey covered up the accidental death. Parents get charged and go to jail for that crime including very attentive parents that simply made a mistake.

Did George assist in the coverup? I don't know but due to his shady testimony the possibility exists.

Just because there was no Direct evidence does not mean there was no evidence. 100% of this case was based on circumstantial evidence. No there was no smoking gun but there was TONS and TONs of circumstantial evidence. The problem with circumstantial evidence is that is takes a semi-intelligent person to put the inferences together. As Linda Drane Burdick said in the closing: “I hope you can see the forest for the trees.” This jury failed to put 2 and 2 together…period.

When did George lie about the duct tape.(sorry if I missed this but I honestly don’t know) The white square bag that Caylee was stuffed in. It is sold in pairs with a cylindrical one. The second half of that pair was found in the Anthonys garage. I agree Kronk was not 100% honest and I’m sure he embellished too but just because one reasonably doubts how he found the bones does NOT mean one reasonably doubts who put the bones there.

Beyond a reasonable doubt does not mean without a shadow of a doubt or beyond all doubt.

A juror can't convict on common sense. A juror can't convict on their emotion. They can only convict on the evidence.

Duct tape! Why did George lie about duct tape, TWICE? He lied about the duct tape on the gas can. He lied about the duct tape at the command center.

Only Casey had access to the clothes? Three other adults lived in the house. George, Cindy and Lee. Cindy testified it the clothes weren't regular clothes that Caylee wore.

The interviewed juror felt George had something to do with the cover-up. That in itself is reasonable doubt.

Joe, how much of this case did you follow prior to the trial? I rarely paid attention. During the trial I wasn't biased by 3 years of media coverage. For 6 weeks I told family, friends etc. I'm not pro Casey Anthony. I'm anti-prosecution. IMO the state didn't prove beyond a reasonable doubt.

There are people on death row in this country, convicted oin far less evidence than they had against CA. As the prosecutor said in closing arguments, if the child actually drowned, you don't take an accident and make it look like murder.

What people confuse is there's a difference between having mental issues and being competent to stand trial. They are two different things. Casey was competent to stand trial. She understood the charges. A defendant is presumed competent to stand trial unless his mental condition prevents him from understanding the nature and object of the proceedings against him, or the court determines that he is unable to assist in his defense.

However, Casey mental issues were the contributing factor in the death of Caylee. I'm not using her mental state as an excuse. It's not. I'm using her mental state to explain her irrational behavior. It's not a defense. We can't assume everyone should react how we would react. People are different.

Three years ago a close friend had the unfortunate experience of getting in legal trouble. First, when you sit in a courtroom 8 to 10 times and you watch the defendants in and out of court most clearly have mental issues.

Second, when you're that close to the legal system on a regular basis you get a better feeling how it works. It's now always a fair and impartial system. You see and watch the extremes prosecutors go to get a conviction. Most defendants deserve what they get. Some simply do not. Some prosecutors simply don't care. They'll be presented with conclusive evidence exonerating a defendant yet they'll still twist, bend and spin the facts.

Finally, one is naive if anyone thinks that prosecutors don't lie or fabricate evidence. The Casey Anthony case is proof they do.

The biggest cause of this country "so fucked up" and the biggest injustice in this case is the MEDIA! The media is the largest contributor to our countries problems. They have too much power. People take what they report as gospel. They report everything as FACT regardless of the truth. Their job is to sell papers. Their job is not to report the truth. No what is fucked up is that people are actually sitting and watching this for hours, which gives the media the ability to make this a huge story. We live in a reality TV world and this us just another example of a story taking over peoples lives.

I didn't watch this but from the little I have seen there was no evidence and she got off. But I am troubled by how involved and emotional people are with this. Nobody knows and are actually certain they have the answers. All I see is a bunch of crap thrown together and everybody thinking they know what happened.

This country is fucked up because of shit like this. The fact that this is a lead story while we have so many other problems going on in alot of state and federal government. It is really something.

This story blowing up was 100% the medias fault and it is completely true that the media shaped many peoples view in this trial. Its ridiculous for people who have watched CNN for a few hours to call the 12 jurors idiots when the jurors actually saw ALL of the evidence and information. They were in that courtroom for 6 weeks, not 3 hours, and they all came to the same verdict. I trust their judgement more than I trust a few bums who read about it the night before......With that being said I do believe she did it, but by being "not guilty" it does not mean she didn't do it, it just means the state couldn't prove it without a reasonable doubt. Lets say there is a 90% chance she did it. If we applied that to every case then for every 10 cases that were like this 1 innocent person would be in jail for life or on death row...there are enough wrongly convicted persons in our jail system already we don't need anymore.
