in order to detect HGH in the body you need to do a blood test. MLB doesnt do blood testing @ all. i believe only the olympics do blood tests. So you could put whatever you want into your body as long as it wont show up on a piss test your A-ok

I know this was a tongue-in-cheek statement, but you've hit on something. I think we'd all be surprised at how many players have and do take some type of performance enhancing drug. Taking steroids or HGH doesn't guarantee that you'll be a better player. A player still has to have superior ability to able to put up these record breaking numbers. Hulk Hogan used steroids and i'll bet he can't hit a baseball all that well.

That being said, i'm tired of being a Bonds apologist. Clearly, his stats are jacked up because of the juice. But before he began using, I would maintain to anyone who would listen, that he was the best all around baseball player of my generation. I still stand by that. He fucked it up by cheating.

But lets not kid ourselves into thinking that the game has been 100% pure going back in time. There have been performace enhancing drugs around for years and no one knows who was using and when.

First, I am tired of Yankee fans, and more than one has posted on tbis site, that Giambi is different because he admitted and apologized. His sealed testimony was leaked (unfortunate for him) and he had a press conference where he apologized but never said what he was apologizing for! He skirted the whole issue. And do you think he would have had the Press Conference if the testimony was not leaked? He would be doing the same thing as Bonds. Let's stop making Giambi the martyr out of this. If you hate Bonds, then hate Giambi and Sheffield....

I agree with Rented Mule 100%...these drugs do not make you hit the ball, they do not make you catch the ball, they do not improve your hand-eye coordination. Bonds was one of the best of our generation prior to all this crap.

I can't wait for all these names to come out in this douche bags testimony...I would be shocked if 75% of the names were not pitchers. And then what will that say about Bonds? Will we be more lenient because the juiced up hitter was hitting homers off the juiced up pitchers? Look at the minors...75% of the guys banned for 50 games are pitchers! Why would that trend not continue?
