Throwing out names of people that you dont like and accusing them is irresponsible IMO. Also, he had quite a few good years prior to 2001 if memory serves me correct.
Irresponsible? How? Who are we being irresponsible to? Roger? It's not like this website is read my many. We're also not the first to question wether Roger used juice. These post are not going to tarnish his reputation.

Like Bonds. Clemens has had huge success well into his 40s. I can think of no other pitcher in baseball history that didn't start to break down in their mid to late 30s let alone will into their 40s. Last season at 43 his ERA was .187.
As I stated earlier. I believe Roger uses HGH. I believe he gets a free pass because he's well liked and white.

Maybe 'irresponsible' isnt the best word since we aren't journalists. I just dont like throwing out names for the hell of it because someone doesn't like a guy or the teams they have been on.
Also, look at Nolan Ryans #'s in his 40's. He K'd over 300 in one season and threw a no-hitter. Overall, if you look at Nolans #'s, they are right on par with his whole career. The main similarity between the two players is that they used their legs when they pitched just as much if not more than their arms, so they could pitch much longer/effective.
The stupidest thing IMO is trying to dig up shit from years ago when non of this shit was banned or tested for.
Imagine this scenario at your job. Starting today, smoking pot is banned by your workplaces code of conduct, and will from now on be tested for. But, they are also going to dig up stuff on some people from 5 years ago, try to prove they smoked it then (even though they cant prove it no matter how obvious it may be to some), and punish them for it. Its completely absurd.
Non of it was banned or tested for but wasn't it still "illegal?"
So you are allowed to do coke, or pot or whatever as long as your employer doesn't "ban" or "test" for it?

Good comparison. I don't think anyone would accuse Ryan of taking steroids.

I'm just pointing out how ridiculous this scenario would be. Imagine everyone you work with having shit dug up from 5 years ago because your employer banned pot starting today.

Why does your employer have to "ban" pot? Does he have to ban "murder" also? It's illegal.

I think what you and I are talking about right now is the real problem. The game is tainted, and EVERYONE from this era is a suspect, right or wrong. Its the people in charge of the games fault, on all sides from the players, their union, the commisioner, and the owners.
Albert Pujols was about to have one of the best seasons ever, and it was as soon as May where the questions started coming up. I dont think he is on any juice/hgh, but to some people, they think he is. To me thats a problem.

I know its illegal and people shouldnt have things banned to tell them not to do it.
I think you are missing the point I am trying to make. Without a drug test, there is no way to PROVE someone smoked pot 5 years ago. So their employer trying to dig it up is ridiculous. Im just trying to make an analogy by using baseballs workplace and our own workplace.
I think the biggest problem with the whole Grimsley thing is that it COULD start turning into one persons word against others.
I for one take some of the peoples names that are sure to be leaked from Grimsley with a grain of salt. The Feds asked him "who he believed to be using." Well, who he believed and who he supplied/shared and did the drugs are two totally different things.
Even if he discloses names of people who he heard to be rumored to be using, it still cant prove anything and doesnt hold much substance IMO.

Agreed! It's a problem baseball will face until they have a comprehensive testing program.
Who was a better all around player than him from 1975-2000? Griffey? Maybe......but all the injuries and missed time give the edge to Bonds, as far as i'm concerned.
[QUOTE=CheechB03]I believe the majority of people would not risk health for wealth.

I agree with this statement as no amount of money is worth having shit for health as I know. However, most people don't realize how lucky they are to have good health. That is unless they've been hurt or have someone close to them that isn't healthy.

I dont like the Red Sox, so Ortiz must be juicing because he is MUCH better now than a few years ago. So how stupid that sounds.
Back in the old mafia days they would kill the rat.

If one wanted to be cynical, you could theorize that Pujols' injury is a common one that is attributed to anabolics. Pulls and tears around the body's core are injuries that have long been attributed to steroid use.
I'm a Mets fan and love Mike Piazza. His groin muscle ripped completely off of his pelvic bone. That told me a lot, unfortunately.
All of this is speculation, though. I'm not sure any of this has ever been proven.
