BHS- there is no more wonderful site to my eyes than going to BC and seeing that you have bumped this thread.

Thanks a lot Vondie. I've seen a few sites still offering the HR champ prop...not Pinny tho... I'll be hedging in the very near future.

Ortiz just grounded into a fielder's choice in the top of the 8th, looks like he actually won't hit one tonight.

FYI- It seems like every time Howard ties him, Ortiz IMMEDIATELY regains the lead.

Except a HR from Big Papi tonight...

                      We Stay Tied

STaylor. FWIW, I'm not going to hedge. Even if I wanted to, the two places I have accounts don't have a line anyway. If I lose, I'm out $250, no biggie. But, if I win, winning the whole 10 dimes would be something else. It was a longshot when I made the play, so I'm going to let it ride.

My feeling is that as the number of games left goes down, the five HR's Soriano is behind, gets harder for him to catch Howard. It should be either us or Ortiz but remember if they are tied, the highest batting average determines the winner. I'm watching their batting average each day too. Right now Howard is .292 to Ortiz .286. Wish the season ended this Sunday.

Ortiz goes back on top with #47..... Goddammit.

Why even pitch to him with Manny on the bench??

47!! That was nice to see. We have good Oakland pitching and a pitchers ballpark the next three games. This is our chance to finally be ahead.

                                HOLY SHIT!!!!

They just said on SportsCenter that David Ortiz has been sent home to Boston for tests for an irregular heartbeat.

I know I sound sadistic but HOLY SHIT!!! This could clinch me the bet if he goes out for a couple weeks. I honestly hope he's okay but man it'd be nice to see him out of that line up!!!!!!!!!!!
