Let me ask you a question Waynwe:
If you were a famous player, and every time you went out to have a quiet dinner for your wife and girlfriend, you were besieged by people hounding your table asking for autographs, wanting to chat, etc., then perhaps after a while you might get a little irritated;remember they are people first and have up and down days just like you and me.
I still think until proven otherwise until proven otherwise that Wakefield overall is more exemplary than the great majority of professional athletes.

If i was having a bad day i would either not go out and be an asshole to people, or, do what alot of famous people do. Get a private table and go in and out a back door. I certainly wouldn't go to the F-ING M-all and tell everyone one that comes up to me to get lost.

Damon loves all the attention, whereas Wakefield is a quiet reserved man;fans should respect that.

Players as people have a right to go to the ma ll even if they don't feel well. Who are you to dictate what a player should do or not do!
Did Wakefield use the actual words, "Get lost?" I kind of doubt it, and I would have to see what the fan said or did prior to that before I would make anything of it.
How would you feel if someone told you you can't/shouldn't go to the ma lltoday because you don't feel well?Last edited by savage1; 06-24-2005, 01:03 PM.

Originally posted by savage1KBsooner-Based on his verified charity work and what he has done for children, I would say that he is still a wonderful, humble and unselfish person who has given back something to the community!
Unless you have met him i wouldn't say unselfish. Get a clue or know something besides what you see on T.V. before thinking you know a player so well.

Wayne-if someone said that you were mean to him on one given day, would it be right ot make a sweeping generalization that you were no good even though you had done all kind of work for disadvantaged children and given freely of your time for charity over 8 years or so.
What says more?
If you say the the first thing, then there is no point in continuing this.
