Lets put the question differently:
If in the total scheme of things you had to choose which is more important in determining what a person is all about, which criterion would you use:
Alayer who is humble, gracious, is a great teammatem, goes beyond the call of a duty to do what he asked to as a player without complaining and more importantly gives freely of his time to visit sick children, some of who have terminable diseases, and make their lives happier by his visit and also by doing charity work and once in a while is not in the mood for signing autographs OR the opposite of above in some respects-no charity, making sick kids lives happier and signs autographs every time?
Obviously above is extreme example, but I would certainly select the first type of player on a split second.
A healthy child who may not get an autograph because a player is not in the mood pales in comparison with a dying child's day being made more happy because a famous athlete spent some quality time with him or her.
