2*Montreal/Hernandez -1.5 runs +145 over San Francisco/Tomko ($200 to win $290)
Another pitching miss-match. The opposition has scored 5 or more total runs in 4 of Tomko's 5 road starts and the opposition has scored 5 or more total runs in 7 of his 8 starts overall so far this season. Over the last 1+ seasons with San Francisco/St Louis the opposition has scored 5 or more total runs in 17 of Tomko's 22 road starts and 6 or more total runs in 13 of those 22 starts. So far this season the opposition has scored 4 or less total runs in 7 of Hernandez's 9 starts and over the last 1+ seasons the opposition has scored 4 or less total runs in 32 of Hernandez's 42 starts. Unless Tomko has an exceptional start and Hernandez BLOWS UP Montreal should win this match-up.
2*Yankees/Brown -1.5 runs -110 over Texas/Benoit ($220 to win $200)
The Yankees are 3-1 road behind Brown as the opposition has scored 3 or less total runs in 3 of Brown's 4 road starts and the Yankees are 7-2 in Brown's 9 starts overall as the opposition has scored 3 or less total runs in 6 of his 9 starts. The opposition has scored 5 or more total runs in Benoit's last 3 starts and the opposition has scored 5 or more total runs in 2 of Benoit's 3 home starts. The bottom line is, Brown figures to give up less runs in this pitching match-up as the opposition over the last 1+ seasons has scored 5 or more total runs in 13 of the 21 games Benoit has started while the opposition has scored 4 or less total runs in 29 of Browns 41 starts over the last 1+ seasons.
2*Minnesota/Silva +115 over WSox/Buehrle ($200 to win $230)
Pitching rematch from last Sunday in which Buehrle beat Silva 11-0 at Chicago. The right spot to fade the WSox/Buehrle as road favorites in this rematch with Buehrle coming off of back to back 15-0 and 11-0 home blowout wins. Minnesota is 13-6 home, 24-16 overall, 3-0 home behind Silva and 6-2 in his 8 starts overall.
2*Oakland/Mulder -1.5 runs -105 over Kansas City/Anderson ($210 to win $200)
The Royals are 5-15 road, 13-25 overall and 3-6 behind Anderson. This is a miss-match all around. The opposition has scored 5 or more total runs in all 4 of Anderson's road starts (1-3), 5 or more total runs in 8 of his 9 starts overall and 6 or more total runs in 6 of those 9 starts. Over the last 1+ seasons Oakland is 12-5 in Mulder's 17 home starts as the opposition has scored 4 or less total runs in 13 of those 17 starts. Over the last 4+ seasons the A's are 42-16 in Mulder's 58 home starts.

Lakers over Minnesota
Have to expect Minnesota to be at least somewhat flat off of Wednesdays emotional 83-80 game #7 win vs Sacramento. Have to expect the Lakers to come to play with new life/enthusiasm after going down 0-2 vs San Antonio then coming from nowhere to win 4 straight games in their series closing out the Spurs who were arguably one of the most talented teams in the NBA this season. The underachieving Lakers ARE THE TEAM TO BEAT at this stage of the playoffs. With 5 days rest compared to the T-Wolves 1 days rest, LA should win the series opener vs Minnesota who may be totally flat tonight off of Wednesday nights big home win.
