          Record

It was 1-3 but Kobe didn't play at least one and I believe the same for Shaq.

                Sandman/Hardball/NBA

Running late (just got in). Surprised that surveyor has not posted info from VSSWins. Guess nobody else has them besides us 2! Will be gone until Sunday Night on a baseball trip for my son. Back on Monday.......

5% Oakland -190 vs Kansas City (listed both SPs)

Hardball Technology (19-18 This Season, 1-1 Last Night):

winning points - read the NBA pick for a laugh

CLEVELAND (Sabathia) -150 over TAMPA BAY (Abbott)

The Indians have turned a nice profit against righthanded
opposition (15-11, +$770 with 6.1 runs per game) and tonight
they get to send their best pitcher (Sabathia 2.03 ERA in 7
starts) against the worst team in baseball . The Devil Rays
are a pitiful 2-7 against lefthanders this year (-$480 with only
3.6 runs per game) and Paul Abbott (-$245) has been very
ineffective, as his 6.22 ERA in 7 starts suggests. The Tribe
is not far away from the .500 mark and a successful weekend
at Tropicana Field could push them over the top.

LA Lakers over Minnesota* by 9
Are we supposed to be afraid of a T-Wolves team led by a
phony MVP who didn't play college ball and isn't all that game-
smart? With choke artist Latrell Sprewell, and mother-chucker
Sam Cassell as the supporting cast?

                  No way, Jose.

Sure, Garnett will try to draw Shaq away from the hoop, but that
means his jumper must fall. It's not like the guy is a 55% career
shooter from out there. Far from it.

Minnesota had problems scoring the ball against, and putting
away an injury-depleted Sacramento team that doesn't play
defense and is coached by a goofball. Big contrast between
the Kings and the Lakers, who had plenty of time to watch
the stuff that Minnesota runs and to prepare against it. T'Wolves
obviously thought they had actually won something after
leaving the court at the end of Game 7 the other night.
But they didn't win anything except the right to get their butts
beaten and smacked back to reality. LA LAKERS, 99-90.

PHILLY1974..I'm not too sure, going by memory, but I think Twolves won 3 of 4, but by the same token, I don't think that Shaq and Kobe were in there together on any of those...If i remember right, one of the 2 was hurt for 2 losses, and I think both on the other loss...Both in, they win....Regular season..It all counts now, they are playing with confidence...FWIW, I like the Lakers...cream comes to the top...

                        OBE,

Thanks for Sandman. I went to their sire to try and sign up for the free week trial. I saw the ads for the trial but no link or email to sign up. Do you know their email address or how to sign up?

***Never mind, I found it. GL tonight***

                        Thanks.

Gotta love "Winning Points" Laker-T'wolves writeup. Garnett = "phony MVP"?? I guess 32 and 21 in a game 7 wasn't good enough. I like the Lakers tonight as well, but I give no credibility to a service that writes that ridiculous garbage.

Free Play - Take Houston -160 Over Cincinnati
We usually don't recommend laying more than -150 for our premium plays, but for a free play this one is a slam-dunk. Andy Pettitte is one of the hottest pitchers in baseball and he has been especially impressive in his last three games (3.18 ERA). After a rough first game to the season, Pettitte has settled down and won four straight. We expect more of his best stuff tonight. Todd Van Poppel has played decently since being promoted from the bullpen, but he is no match for Pettitte. Add in the fact that the Reds aren't hitting well against lefties, and you have the perfect recipe for profits this Friday! Lay the wood!.

i've picked up winning points tabloid a couple times. Seems to me they hold grudges against certain teams and players. guess those players/teams have burned them before. interesting read though.
