  • The daily service's suck thread

Maybe, if we start posting on a daily basis the horrible selections from many of the service. Then people might stop begging for their shit.

Last night Marc Lawrence had plays on Villanova. Villanova was out of a 40-3 system. The only problem is the system applies only IF Nova wins the game SU. Nova lost by 18 points at home as a 4 point favorite.

Lary Ness had his GOW also on Nova.

Marc's NBA selection was on the Pacers. From a 14-0 system. Once again the system only applies if Indiana wins the game SU. Those are not system.

Carlo Campanella has a GOM on the Indiana Hoosiers. Another big loser. Indiana scored 15 points in the 1st half getting outscored by 22. This selection was over before it even started.

Big Al had a good night last night. He took the night off.

    frank??

you gotta admit, it is hilarious when they come up with this ..........."i have a game of the month out of a 40-3 system".........we all could make up some system that went 40-3

i just find it amusing, i do not pay any attention to services except to look at what they say because i find that stuff much funnier than what we see on tv and in the movies

i like the name of this thread though

Big Al has some neat systems but I don't think he does any handicapping. I think he offers a play regardless of the situation.

A good example, one of Big Al systems spit out Buffalo as a play vs. New England the final week of the season. How could anyone play against New England in that spot off their shutout loss to Buffalo in the season opener? It was a HUGE revenge game for them.

        I agree....

Well... I will start by saying I agree with everything thats been said in this thread.

In my career as a professional gambler and sports handicapper, I have never, ever, had a "Game Of The Year" a "Tripple Lock Line Play" a "Gauranteed Game Of The Week" or any other bullsh:t 'super' pick.

Any handicapping company out there that advertises such crap is not a true handicapper. They are an internet marketer with a flair for sports, and nothing more. No good pro gambler that I know would ever say somthing so stupid as "Trust me on this one... It's my game of the year!"

If you would like to see my progress check out my recent threads in the services forum.

So here is what I have to say to all of the handicapping sites out there with games of the year, and guranteed picks, and 20 unit super plays, and 40-1-1 system picks....

Yes I also 100% agree with all of you

Yes I also agree with all of you but you are letting your personal
opinion get in the way of letting these evil lying scum from
helping you. Monitor all of them and when you see many of them
picking one game just pick the oposite team. Did you ever think
of that? It works great. I did this last week.

I want to give you one very good example the Tulsa - Georgia
Tech football game which Georgia Tech won 52 - 10. Tulsa
was getting 71/2. I could not believe it but the following
handicappers took Tulsa. AAA, Trueline, Big Al, Ceasar Sports,
Jimmys picks, Animal, Score, OCD, Blazer, Goldsheet, NSA,
Wayne Root, Calahan, Hollywood, Chicago and Zebra Club.

Only one Psychic took Georgia Tech. I could not beleive the
worst moron on earth would take Tulsa let alone these so
called high priced handicappers. When you see this just take
          the other team.

This also happened in 2 playoff games last week as most took
Greenbay and which lost by the - 7 1/2 point spread and many
of these handicappers took Denver which got killed.

I think what is going on here is not just bad handicpping but
these handicappers work for casinos and they are deliberately
giving out losing games because these handicappers get a
percentage from the casions. How do you like that for what
a bunch of evil lying double crosing no good filth these
handicappers are. Well turn it back on them and just bet the
          other team.

swradio, I agree with you. We can use their lousy selections to our advantage. However, I'm certain that when members are asking for hanidcappers plays they are looking for them because they want to bet along with the handicapper.

I absolutely HATE Marc Lawrence's style. Last night he had the Pistons. His reasoning:

The Rockets are 1-30 ATS in games they lose SU when playing off BB SU & ATS wins against a revenging opponent.

He's assuming the Rockets lose the game but what's the ATS when the Rockets win the game? The night before his NEVER lost situation LOST.

Carlo Campanella had a Dog GOY on the Clippers. If you bought his play you were in the game until half time. However, in the 2nd half the Clippers were outscored 53-34. Showing the effects of back to back road games. Let's see how soon he has another GOY. Probably very soon. I don't have a problem with a capper having a play last night on the Clippers but your GOY!!!

Frank, Kudos for starting this GREAT thread.
Most of you know that I am always posting my opinions on the various service as Ihave followed them for years and know where most of them are coming from(I have used some also).
As you know, there are the obvious scammers and liars like Jack Price, ****** Demarco, Jimmy the Fixer, Stu Feiner and Ty Gaston.
What is not so obvious sometimes are the guys who use these alleged systems, trends, locks, etc. to try to con you into buying their picks.
I think that 1) some of them are madeup; 2) some of them are deceptive, and as someone said don't take into account the pointspread and 3)some of them are backward looking systems, which may be true but were just contrived to find a game which fits into that system with no relevance to the two teams playing today.
Even more moronic are the services which advertise 100 million star plays and even higher as they do at the Big Green Machine.
Hype like this would discourage anyone with a half a brain from purchasing because it shows a bit of insecurity on the part of the service to have to use such ridiculous evaluations and in my mind itis very childish.
Although services would argue with me, I also find it disconcerting that some services recommend you sign up with a sportsbook(MVP comes to mind) and that if you tell them that the service sent you, you will receive a signup bonus from the sportsbok and receive varying amount of free service from the sports service depending on how much you send.
To me that is kind of like having the fox guard the henhouse;I am sure at least some of these services receive kickbacks based on the volume of business and whether some of the referrals lose.
              Something smells rotten to me.
Anyways, enough, and lets keep commenting on the services which don't get it done and perhaps discourage newbies from using them.

                To Frank

Yes I see people asking for these handicappers plays but I
cannot understand why as they all pick losers so much you
would think these people would learn quick and see how bad
these handicappers are when they lose their money. These
handicappers are nothing but con men and they know human
nature and they know people want someone to tell them what
to do and they unfortunately exploit that.
It makes me real mad seeing what frauds they are. I want to
bring up something and warn everyone about and that is they
all give out free picks and they have a very evil and bad motive
for doing this and that is to get your phone number. So I want
to ask everyone PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE YOUR HOME
PHONE. I do not have a home phone I go to a pay phone to
give them hell. When you call they will as you to give them your
phone number and someone will call you back. I tell them I
would not dream of giving a accursed criminal piece of fuck
like them my phone number and I call them every name I can
think of and hang up. Their advertisements are totally deceptive
as Wayne Root had a advertisement on a big radio station in
the city where I live that said they would give a free pick if
you call this toll free number and did not say anything about
any requirements for it. It was a 100% scam to get your phone
                number.
I think everyone should go to a payphone and really give these
people hell an if enough people did this maybe they would
                stop doing it.

I forgot to add that many services have 4, 5 or even more cappers as part of the group.
Does it bother anyone besides me that with a service say like Feist, he might give out a big play on Phil. and say another member of crew, e.g. Cokin will give out an equally big play on Green Bay(this weekend's matchup)?
I know everyone is entitled to an opinion, but to me it is like investing with a firm which manages your investments;there should be some consistency in thinking;this is not the case in example I cited.
From my point of view if all the different members of the service give out different combinations and more importantly different sides on the same game, all they are doing is to ensure that someone wins;thus say if someone signs up with Feist loses, and Cokin wins, the service hopes that those disgusted with Feist will go running to Cokin;its a no lose situation for the service and probably one of the big reason they join together in the first place.
I personally would not be surprised if some services actually deliberately set up who gives out what sides to ensure someone is always winning. jmho.

I was watching one of those piece of shit shows. They said call 800-***-xxxx for our free GOY selection on a recorded message. It was recorded alright. The message was to call another number to receive the selection.

A few years ago before the age of caller id. I called a service for a free pick. If the pick didn't win I receive the entire month free. Well, the pick didn't win. Over the next few days I called for my free selections. I swear they were giving any game, any side. Oh, they did try telling me these are their standard selection if I wanted their top selections I'd have to pay extra. I told them I'll take the standard selections. I didn't play them but did follow them for about a week. They were aweful.

Another problem with this site, I saw it mostly with the bowl games. The selections were split close to 50/50. What good are asking for service selection when they are split on a game.

People handicap your own games. Find you own systems. You might lose but I guarantee you're selection will be as good as the services. When you win a game you'll have a sense of pride. What would you rather do? Win a game with your own selection or win a game from a cappers selection that doesn't give a rats ass whether the game wins.

                      To Savage

You said you would not be surprised if they set up their
services so that they give out both sides of a game. Well
of course they do that. Some single handicapping service
give out both sides. This way they know 50% will win.
Even the ones the say you don't pay unless you win will
set there machines to give out both sides so they are
guaranteed to collect on 50% of the people who subscribe.

Before I found out about this web site I heard Phil ( I will
steel your money before you lose it on my sorry picks )
Steele on a radio station and I tried him out for a few weeks
and he was horrible. He had did give a guarantee the
week that I subscribed that if he did not have a winning
week you would get the next week free. Well I found out
what that was worth as he would just give out more losers
the next week. So when he gives out that guarantee that
is just a warning that he is going to give out losing picks
and then since he knows his picks lost he will just give out
more losing picks the next week for free. These criminals
do every kind of fraud that there is and what they don't do
                      is any kind of handicapping.

I know I sound like a broken record. One of the biggest scammers is Marc Lawrence. He gives desparate people a sense of hope by offering these NEVER LOST situations. His situations are a fucking joke.

I know his play on Detroit won last night. He advertised it as follows:

Wow! There’s a play on Wednesday night’s NBA card that is backed by a 30-1 ATS winning situation

Its not a 30-1 situation. It's predicated on Houston losing the game. Tuesday night Marc had a similar system on the Pacers out of a NEVER LOST situation. Guess what? The Pacers won the game but didn't cover.

The problem I have is it gives desparate gamblers false hope. That the selection won't lose. Services are marketing geniouses but handicapping idiots.

i complained a little bit, because i rolled with Carlo Campanellas 10*s on Indiana the night before who was getting 14.5 and lost by 50 and then i played on his 10* Underdog GOY on the Clips last night who were getting 8 and only lost by about 50 pts too, it just gets frustrating... But i agree if u have to complain about the service plays, or the Fakers, or anything else.... DONT BET 'EM .. Easy solution... If your gonna gamble.. be prepared to lose, thats why its called gambling...

Phil-I look at it very night to tell you the truth, as there are a few worth looking at it as well as the greater free posters like ez, memphis, etc.
If one of the hot paid cappers is on a roll, sure I take a look, why not?
There are always exceptions to the rule, but more importantly there are some bad apples out there who don't tell it as it is and who like to spin the records and hype games with ridiculous non-existent systems to get people to purchase;these guys are ones who need to be exposed.
Yes, there are thousands of hits on the service section every nightsome of whom are not aware of the bs and hype and who need to be educated;hopefully some of those folks will read this thread also;perhaps we can make this thread the "Ralph Nader"/Consumer Reports of the handicapping industry.
