what amazes me is that not one of you is giving ALABAMA a chance in this FLORIDA game.no doubt FLORIDA is good but they have to face a pure defense in ALABAMA and have the patience of playing an offense that can control the ball and also hit the big play.all i see is ,FLORIDA this FLORIDA that but nothing about giving ALABAMA any credit in which they were supposed to be third in their division and all they did was go undefeated in the regular season.i know ill probally take some shit after my post but hell give ALABAMA some credit when its due

That's a point well taken, Sea... Alabama is the only major conference team left standing undefeated after the regular season is said and done. They could beat Florida..Misery could beat the Sooners. The only Big 12 Conference game I ever attended KS State beat the Sooners when the Sooners were 2 touchdown favorites. I'll be watching the game in Oklahoma this year.Originally posted by seaofred View Postwhat amazes me is that not one of you is giving ALABAMA a chance in this FLORIDA game.no doubt FLORIDA is good but they have to face a pure defense in ALABAMA and have the patience of playing an offense that can control the ball and also hit the big play.all i see is ,FLORIDA this FLORIDA that but nothing about giving ALABAMA any credit in which they were supposed to be third in their division and all they did was go undefeated in the regular season.i know ill probally take some shit after my post but hell give ALABAMA some credit when its due

I totally agree Garth! There's not a team out there that wants to beat Oklahoma more than Missouri I can promise you that.Originally posted by garth View PostThat's a point well taken, Sea... 1) Just as is the case with 66-70 in March Madness, sorry, but #9 realistically has 0 chance of winning 3 games in an 8-team playoff to take the title so fuck team #9.
2) All this arguing over who is # 2 when the simple fact remains
TEXAS BEAT OU ON A NEUTRAL FIELD
Not at home, on a neutral field.
3) In CFB and the BCS, it's all about WHEN YOU LOSE, not who you lose to.
Again, what a f'ing joke.

Texas lost to TT on the road
OU lost to Texas on a neutral field
TT lost to OU on the road
UF lost to Ole Miss @ HOME
Of these 4 teams with 4 losses, which one is the worse?
Obviously, it's UF losing @ HOME to Ole Miss. Yet, if they win on Saturday, they're in the BCS title game.
Yep, makes even more sense now.

Add Alabama to the mix. What if they lose on a neutral field to Florida by 3. How will their 1 loss look.Originally posted by LVJimmy View PostTexas lost to TT on the road

I thinkn that is a tad misleading. Florida basically lost on a missed extra point. Ole Miss also isn't a bad team considering it finished with an 8-4 record. I agree if you just look at a W or L, Florida's is obviously worse. However, when you tell the whole story and that TT's loss was by 44 points, an argument can be made about which loss is worse. Also, if Florida wins they will have to beat the #1 team in the country, and the only major conference undefeated team.Originally posted by LVJimmy View PostTexas lost to TT on the road

I agree...If you follow LVJimmy's argument to its logical conclusion, one would probably conclude that Texas and Texas Tech should be 2 and 3. Would Tech being *2 or #3 make any more sense than the current scenario? I don't think so.Originally posted by harold_bush View PostI thinkn that is a tad misleading. Not a bad loss, but because they lost last, they're out. Among other things, it just irritates me that it's all about timing with the BCS. Personally, I think the Big 12 is a lot better than the SEC this year so again, IMO, Florida's loss at home should eliminate them. If you look at their schedule now, Florida has beaten 2 Top 25 teams in the BCS (#16 Georgia and #24 FSU). While OU is playing T Tech, UF is playing the Citadel. Nice!Originally posted by wayne1218 View PostAdd Alabama to the mix. What if they lose on a neutral field to Florida by 3. How will their 1 loss look.
