Clemens didn't answer any questions...he answered his own questions...like he had an agenda. They asked one thing and he gives an answer that seems to be in response to some whole other question. And no matter how hard they tried, he kept answering the question he thinks he hears, not the question they asked.

The answer to your question is that Clemens was caught not telling the truth today. He is being deceitful. Both of them are lying about certain aspects but Clemens is getting caught, while McNamee fessed up and his story is also being corroberated by two others...one of which Clemns even admitted is a very honest man (Pettitte).

            • very tough day for me. i've been a huge clemens fan my whole life, even traveled to each start to see him win #300.

very tough to watch, but i am not naive. he looks pretty bad in this whole thing. i don't know how any neutral observer can believe him over mcnamee. yes, you can sit here and poke holes all over mcnamees character and credibility, but when it comes down to it, and your life depended on being right, who would you side with??????? unfortunately, its mcnamee.

Molta, I gotta give you credit...your opinions, at times (i.e. Pats and Clemens) would get under my skin a bit (as I am sure mine do), but you are a stand-up guy and not afraid to change a belief based on outcomes of events. Lots of Clemens fans would still be steadfast in their wanting to believe Clemens.

Now, do me a favor...go talk to Kaz!

                      • anyone see Clemen's lawyer in the post press conference? Rusty looked really bad again. He really should shut up if he wants to help Clemens. Hardin says the nanny is a close family friend and minutes later, his other lawyer said they havn't spoken in 7 years. Very bad and the press was all over them for that mess up. They just sounded like idiots and their answers not only contradicted each other, but they were also very vague and horrible. They were whispering in Clemens ear all day. Mcnamee didn't need any of that. Clemens is a liar and i would bet my life on it!

He calls the nanny to his house for a meeting before giving her number to them. C'mon, does it get more fishy than that. They were fucked right there!

                          thanks for the kind words.

as a clemens fan, this whole thing sucks, but whatever. i am not stupid and its pretty obvious what happened.

i have grown up watching him pitch every 5 days, and really enjoyed it. i have some fond memories, but at the same time, he's only a ballplayer and i don't put him on some pedastal of blind faith. whether he did steroids or not doesn't change any of that.

also, i have never really cared if any of these guys (including bonds) have done steroids. if the league officials, owners, commisioner, union , players etc didn't care, then neither do i.

                            • The best part for me is that he had bruising in both ass cheeks so bad that they had to do an MRI. They wanted to check to see if he had strained a muscle in his ass.. LOL... Then the report shows that it had to come from a needle injected into the muscle. Which of course Roger says was from a B-12 shot(singular) that was administered by the team physician. That must have been one hell of a B-12 shot,,,it hit both ass cheeks,, Oh by the way, the Steriod that Macanee gave to Roger is known to have this side effect if administered too quickly. Hmmmmmmmm.

                              • Clemens behavior is typical for a superstar athlete who has gotten away with misdeeds their entire career......screw these people, I am Roger Clemens. These guys get away with things because no one ever calls them on their bs. His time has come.

What really blows my mind is why in the hell did his attorney allow him to testify? Everyone knows he is lying. If he pleads the fifth, everyone would know he is guilty, but he wouldn't be facing jail time. I would have let him know that I would resign as his counsel if he testified. What a dumbass legal move. Really bad advice, unless you want your name and face on television. The Texas bar should investigate this press seeking ambulance chaser
