All those cold winter days really has clouded your mind.

east coast bias at its best.

          Keep the Faith.

          Go Padres!

                      Phillies' bats scare me most.

That SD/Mil series is a real tough one for me with a struggling Young going and maybe Peavy on 3 days rest if needed. He got shelled last time he did it.

I think it will be .........

                        Cubs, D-Backs, Phils & Mets

I just think the Phils & Mets will take at least 2 of 3 from their opponent and i'm not sold on SD doing that. I think a WC playoff is very possible though.

Whether it be this weekend or in the playoffs, i think the lack of offense will kill the Pads like it always does. I can't understand why that team never picks up offense in the off season but they don't.

GM Towers is great at trading for players, but under him, the farm league has been really bad. Peavy is the only guy that came up from the farm system.

As far as bats goes, there really hasn't been much great free agents.
Mets gave all this money to Beltran and look at what he has done.

Seattle's Beltre hasn't done much either.

They really good at watching their money. They don't have the kind of money that Boston and NY has.

                              I agree with that 100%

Kevin Towers is a very underrated GM.....he can make some really good deals.

That is troubling about the farm system though.....especially if they are not trading those prospects for high priced superstars.

What's up with the scouting there?

I am not sure why he can't scout them. He is awesome at scouting pitchers, but batters, we have not have one came up from the farm system in a very long time.

Benito Santiago was the last one I can think off. And he was a little above average.
