We are talking about our CF and the Dodgers CF. How much more obvious does it need to be?

Yup, and way ahead of the guy we got to hit there (Crisp).

Bry was talking about lead-off hitters. I addressed his comment.

You don't have to try too hard to convince me that Coco Crisp is not a good offensive center fielder. But my point is that Juan Pierre really isn't much better and that he might be the most overrated player in baseball right now.

I hear ya' BUT we NEED a CF who can also lead off and Pierre would do exactly what Boston needs.

              Jose Reyes
              Grady Sizemore
              Jimmy Rollins

depends. sizemore wont be a leadoff hitter for long. too much pop. top 3 might be pushin it. my point is, pierre isnt that bad and coco is terrible.

Boston could certainly use a centerfielder who could lead off. And my argument would be that guys like Dave Roberts, Ryan Freel, and David DeJesus are available every year and would be much more valuable as leadoff hitters than Pierre.

We had Dave Roberts, Freel is hurt i think and i want no part of DeJesus playing in Boston.

I would rather see Jacob Ellsbury before those 3

3 Run HR for Coco. Not batting leadoff but still good!

Yeah, I get the feeling that even Quentin Crisp could have hit a longball off Buddy Carlyle tonight...

I am not sure anyone said this already because I did not read this entire thread ...

But if any Cub fan thinks that this team will be playing in October you are so sadly mistaken ...

Cubs are in the middle of a division race right now and they trade there catcher ... and who do they get?? a pitcher you will not see for another 3 or 4 years ... a catcher batting .206 ... this team has given up already in June .. and on top of this they paid 1.5 million ... hahahahaha

They are allowing the inmates to run the asylum ... and then they come on the news and say the only reason he was traded was to strengthen the ball club ... what a crock of garbage ... team-mates had a lot to do with this trade ... so much so the Cubs paid 1.5 million to get rid of him .. at least tell the truth ..

I am so sick and tired of this every year .... Chicago fans have no baseball team right now ... Which reminds me .. do you remember when Ozzie went off on his players?? Throwing them out of his office .. I think it was for sitting A.J .. well, they went 5-19 since that happened ...

                              I am disgusted ...

One other thing i want to say ...

Soriano has 12 home runs this year ... 12 ....

Do you know how many of these are solo??? 11 of them ...

Lou, Can you tell me why this guy is leading off day after day ...
