Under 114.5 Michigan State/Wisconsin

I was asked the other day how I decide on a play. After the general capping, I typically have to feel excited about a play and get that nice warm and fuzzy feeling inside.

Enter, the Under between Michigan State and Wisconsin. I was hoping these two teams would hook up again as soon as Butch went out and of course, he is out indefinitely and that pans very well for the under.

This in part because Wisconsin is a great defensive team but is hurt on the offensive end b/c of Butch's offense. Keep in mind that Wisconsin is a half court team that relies heavily on Orlando Tucker and his heroics as honestly, Michigan State could have won that game in Wisconsin and they were well could win outright today or fall within the cover as they are playing better ball right now and healthier.

Thus, no side for me. But, I do like the under as the last time these two teams met on Wisconsin's home court, the game totaled at 102. Now, this game could go into overtime, but I'll have to take that chance here and I even think 1 overtime could allow for a cover still as this game could end in the high 40's in regulation.

In fact, I thought about the under with Ohio State and Michigan as well given how low scoring the Michigan/NWestern game was in which both teams didn't top 50, but I went ahead with the under in this game.

I think Wisconsin pulls it out as they always seem to find a way to pull it out with the exception of the Ohio State game, but I don't see them scoring more than 55 here as if both these teams could not exceed the total at Wisconsin where the home team is favored, how are they going to exceed the total here at a neutral site.

The last time these two teams met, the total was set at 122 and now it is set a full 7.5 points lower.

The last 3 games for Wisconsin say it all by scores of 55 on the road at Michigan State, 48 at Ohio State and 52 against Michigan State at home. I suspect the winner will hit the 50's and the loser in the high 40's in a low scoring ball game by a final score of 54-48 possibly and totals at 102 yet again.

The Spartans too play great defense as the under is 6-0 in Spartan games in neutral setting, 7-0 to the under following an ATS loss such as the one with Northwestern and to the under 14-2 when they are small underdogs of 6 points or less.

The under is 29-12 following a Badger ATS loss, the under is 4-0 in the Badger's last 4 Big 10 games and the under is 9-4 when Wisconsin plays a team with a straight up winning record.

This is certainly a game in which an upset alert needs to be placd, but more importantly, barring an overtime, and maybe even being able to survive 1 overtime, I like the under today.

In short, looking for a traditional low scoring big 10 contest today regardless of result.

Don't like long beach state being such a favorite, i'll take Miami of Ohio +7.5 - it's at 7 at sportsinteraction, maybe hoping to see it rise without taking the 1/2 point, will wait for a better line. No college on sunday and probably won't play the nba.

No time for write-ups as I already have quite a drive to the temple - but in a low-scoring game, who knows they could pull out the upset, they've lost by 2 points both times out and in overtime one of those times.

By the way, bad vudu to the fella, that hit a 3 w/one sec/two secs to mess up the furst half memphis under - grr...

Special thanks to Miam of Ohio for coming through last night to end the night on a winning note.

NC State is a no play fellas, an injury to Atsur makes it unappealing as he probably won't be a 100%. Will take a long look at Ohio State tomorrow, think they get it done.

I have a feeling that Ohio State wins and the game goes under, but why play with fire. Also, think if you're able to get a wager down on the Northwestern vs. Texas A&M CC you should do it as it is a pinnacle at 166, but opened up at 169.5 at the off shore sports line and then at WSEX opened up at 158. However, I will ride the NBA today.

1) Golden State PK - Noon Eastern.

This team with the return of Baron Davis and Jason Richardson are playing great basketball right now including wins over the Pistons outright, over the Clippers and Denver and now will hit the road to play a good but young Trailblazers team.

Golden State is very deep now as when both players were injured these guys have learned to play without their stars and now as they return, they will be a deeper squad that will be more effective for 40 minutes.

Golden State is riding a 3 game win streak and they know they can win this game as it is just as difficult or easy as the 3 before and if they can win on the road at the Pistons, I don't see why they can't do it here considering that they are just 6 games back of .500 and each win puts them ever closer to the mark.

This is a good team led by Davis, Richardson and great wing play from Ellis, Harrington and Jackson and I think they are a solid wager on the road today.

Late game at 9pm, but I think they get it done as they have covered 4 straight ballgames, and I will enjoy watching this game.

As an additional point, the Warriors have covered this series the last 6 times and the favorite is 6-0 in this series.

This is a much better Golden State team than earlier this year, so I'm going to ride them as my play today.
