Tigers Showing True Colors Again

Everyone will see just how good they are come playoff time with a staff of Bonderman Rogers Verlander, Miner and Robertson and the hurt Maroth all coming out of the pen to join arguably the best bullpen already.

While those guys are very talented, what have they done when the pressure is on? How has Kenny Rogers faired in the glare of a pennant race (on more than one team, I might add)? And arguably the ebst bullpen in baseball? They have some very good relievers...but Todd Jones? Any bullpen that has him as a closer cannot be arguable the best bullpen....

The more you speak the more it is evident you have a basic knowledge of sports. Discussing this stuff with you is sometimes comical. Does it matter that Jones has 5 more save opps? Does it matter that Wagner has more wins? Does it matter THAT WAGNER HAS BETTER STATS IN EVERY OTHER CATEGORY EXCEPT BLOWN SAVES AND THAT IS ONLY BY 1 BS?

I think you need to attend a sports seminar! You did say Araon Small was better than Glavine, right? You did say Chacon and Small were two of only three quality pitchers the Yankees have, right? THANK GOD YOU THINK JONES IS BETTER THAN WAGNER!

Lemme tell you this about T Jones.....his save % is very respectable. I might not like how he goes about his business gettin that save but for the most part he does his job.

ERAs for closers can be very misleading if they get shelled once or they pitch in a game where they are just getting work in they usually get drilled.

First and foremost what is that save %.....Jones does get the job done and to answer the question I would have to say NO......I wouldnt replace Jones with Wagner.

Its a short list of active closers I would replace Jones with and they are Rivera, K Rod, Smoltz, Benitez, and I cant think of any others. I say this simply because I am talking only of postseason and not regular season.
