No hiding here fellas......we got whooped tonight but I checked the standings and we're still up 3.5 games.
I dont care how we get to the playoffs.....I just wanna get there and then we'll talk. Maybe if we keep losing to these BIG 3 that everyone speaks of we can get some JUICY ODDS for a playoff series come October.....thats one bet ill be in it with my heart.
White Sox got us tonight......just gotta try and gettem tomorrow. Also I had Homer in here setting the record str8 tonight so no need to have 2 'HOMERS' in one thread.....not enough room
Even the White Sox almost collapsed last year in Spetember....even the best teams in the game lose 60 times a year. Ill start worrying if we are 3-11 against the likes of Tampa and Kansas City or Baltimore.....until then its smooth sailin......plus Garland has been the Hosers best pitcher lately........lets see how them other douchebags do vs out better pitchers.

PEACE
I disagree with one of statements about feeling better if Tigers were 3-11 against TB, etc.
Lets put it this way: wouldn't you rather be 11-3 against the top teams like Chicago, Boston and New York and 3-11 against the teams you cited, the reason being that the Tigers won't be facing the like of TB, KC, etc in the playoffs but will against the top tier teams cited.
Everyone will see just how good they are come playoff time with a staff of Bonderman Rogers Verlander, Miner and Robertson and the hurt Maroth all coming out of the pen to join arguably the best bullpen already.

Oh-and what about the veterans and the other teams which have already participated in the post season? Doesn't that count for something?
I think you might be overly optimistic to just assume come playoff time that the guys you mentioned are going to step up big time and defeat the teams which they have not been able to defeat all year?
I was thinking the same thing savage. If they can't beat the big 3 and 2 of them are in the playoffs, it WILL be in the back of their minds, and along with the lack of experience, it will hurt them.
They need to win some of these!
I hear what both Savage and you are saying but it doesn't always hold true. We often see teams lose in the playoffs that dominated the regular season. Games in mid-July hold no bearing on what happens in October.
man savage get off the tigers back
they are playing great ball, no one thought they would be doing what they are doing this year. they are pretty much locked into a playoff spot.
why all the hatin'?
Probably hiding like you were when your Mets go that ass swept by Boston and then got it handed to ya 2 out of 3 to the Yanks
No one is hiding...why would I hide when the team I root for is the team with the best record in the NL? Who cares if the struggled against the Sox...3 games out of 162 my man! 3 games! I'll see you in October...IF YOU MAKE IT!
