          Totals Report

          OVER-UNDER HOT STREAKS

Team Over Record Team Under Record

Baltimore Over 5-2 past seven games overall Arizona Under 11-0 past 11 games

Detroit Over 6-2-1 past nine games overall Chicago White Sox Under 7-2 past nine games

Milwaukee Over 8-3 past 11 games overall Minnesota Under 7-3-1 past 11 games

Seattle Over 5-2 past seven games overall Pittsburgh Under 7-1 past eight games

Washington Over 5-2 past seven games overall San Diego Under 5-1 past six games

          Blazing Arizona

The Arizona Diamondbacks continue to struggle on offense, and they continue to get solid pitching performances. That combination has been the recipe for plenty of winning tickets at the window for 'under' bettors. Arizona posted six runs in their shutout win against San Diego on Tuesday. While that's not a massive offensive display, the six runs were the most by the Arizona batters since posting six runs, also against the Padres on the road, back on Aug. 18. The Diamondbacks have posted just 31 runs over the past 12 games, or 2.58 runs per outing. During their 11-game 'under' streak, the Diamondbacks are allowing just 2.36 runs per game, too. That's going to cash plenty of under tickets if it continues.

It's a bit of a weird scheduling quirk, but the Snakes are off on Wednesday before opening a series with the Braves on Thursday evening. It's part of a four-game MLB slate that day, as baseball cedes the night to the National Football League, with the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles doing battle. The Braves and Diamondbacks game should not be forgotten on Thursday, however. The 'under' is 7-0-1 across Atlanta's past eight road games, and 6-1 in their past seven against National League West opponents. In addition, the under has cashed in four of the past five heading into Wednesday's action. The under is 20-6-1 in the past 27 games overall, while going 6-0 in the past six games against teams with a winning record. The under is also 18-6-2 in the past 26 against National League East opponents. However, the over is 9-1-1 in the past 11 battles in this series, so perhaps Arizona's bats will get going.

          Looking Ahead

          Wednesday, Sept. 5

The Reds and Pirates battle in the Steel City with RHP Homer Bailey and RHP Jameson Taillon doing battle. The under is 9-3 in Bailey's past 12 starts on the road, while going 8-2-1 in his past 11 starts inside the National League Central Division. In addition, the under is 6-1 in Bailey's past seven assignments against teams with a losing overall mark. The under is the rule for Pittsburgh at home lately, too, cashing in nine of the past 10 games at PNC Park. The under is also 4-1 in their past five inside the division, while going 20-8 in the past 28 games overall. As far as Taillon is concerned, the over is 4-1 in the past five starts against teams with a losing record and 4-1 in his past five inside the division. However, the under is 10-2-2 in Bailey's past 14 against the Bucs, 5-1 in his past six starts in Pittsburgh and the under is 3-1-1 in Taillon's past five at home against the Reds and 4-1 in his past five overall against Cincinnati.

The Mets will 'wheel' out RHP Zack Wheeler to face the Dodgers and LHP Hyun-Jin Ryu. The under is 3-1-1 in the past five for the Mets, while going 6-2-1 in their past nine tries against a southpaw. The under is also a perfect 5-0 in his past five outings against teams with a winning overall record. In addition, the under is 3-1-1 in his past five against NL West foes, too. While the over is 8-1-1 in L.A.'s past 10 at home against teams with a losing overall mark, the under is 6-1 in the past seven overall and 5-1 in their past six home games. For Ryu, the under is 7-1 in his past eight assignments at home and 4-1 in his past five starts overall. The over is 5-1 in the past six meetings at Chavez Ravine, however.

The Orioles and Mariners do battle in SoDo. Whilte the over has been the play recently for the Orioles, the under has been the play when Andrew Cashner is on the bump. The over is 5-2 in Baltimore's past seven overall, 5-2 in their past seven against the AL West and 15-5-1 in their past 21 following a victory. However, the under is 13-6 in Cashner's past 19 starts overall and 7-2 in his past nine when working on four days of rest. The over is 4-0 in Seattel's past four vs. RHP and 4-1 in their past five games overall. However, the under is 6-2 in Mike Leake's past eight starts. The over is 5-2 in his past seven against teams with a losing record, for which Baltimore certainly qualifies. The over is 5-2 in the past seven meetings between these two sides at Safeco Field, too.

          Betting On The Wind

The Gulf Coast from New Orleans to Tallahassee is dealing with the aftermath from Tropical Storm Gordon, so it's a good thing there isn't any ballparks in that region. All of the weather trouble spots seem confined to that area, as most MLB venues have favorable weather in the forecast on Hump Day.

The only potential trouble spots will be in Chicago, as the Tigers and White Sox have a 40 percent chance of showers in the forecast for their game. The Giants and Rockies also have a 40 percent chance of showers for the first six innings, with the rain expected to taper off by 8pm MDT.

In Oakland, the Yankees and Athletics will be battling 11-14 mph winds out to the right-center field power alley, so watch that for the 'over'.

          Thursday, Sept. 6

The Cubs and Nationals will go toe-to-toe in the series opener Thursday in D.C. This was supposed to be a potential playoff preview, and Chicago has held their end of the bargain up. But the Nats have struggled. Each team goes through a feeling out process in the first game of a new series, with the under 22-8 in the past 30 first games of a new series for Chicago, and 4-0 in the past four Game 1s for Washington. The under is als 7-1 in Kyle Hendricks' past eight against losing sides, while going 4-1 in his past five on the road. In addition, the under is 20-7 in the past 27 against NL East opponents. For the Nats, the over is 5-2 in their past seven overall heading into Wednesday, while going 9-3-1 in the past 13 home games. The over is also 9-4-1 in the past 14 at home against winning sides, and 5-2 in their past seven overall against winning teams.

          Friday, Sept. 7

Cubs LHP Jon Lester takes the ball for the Cubbies, and while he has pitched well with quality starts in three of his past four outings, the 'over' is 3-0 in his past three starts, 6-1 over his past seven and 8-2 in the past 10 outings. The Cubs are averaging 7.7 runs per game on offense across his past three starts. The over is also 4-1 in his past five assignments on the road, and the over cashed the last time he faced the Nats on Aug. 11 in Chicago.

Cardinals LHP Austin Gomber will head to the hill in interleague action against the Tigers, a rematch of the 2006 World Series. The southpaw has allowed a total of just five earned runs over his past 29 innings across the past five outings. The 'over' is 4-3 in his past seven outings, however, as the Cardinals have averaged 7.7 runs per game during the span.

Mariners LHP James Paxton will face the Yankees at Safeco. The southpaw was back Saturday fom the DL and he allowed three runs over five innings with 10 strikeouts in an 'over' result in Oakland. It was a rare one, as the 'under' is 7-3 across Paxton's past 10. The under has hit in four straight starts for Paxton at Safeco, too.

            Wednesday, September 5

            Streaking and Slumping Starting Pitchers

            Streaking:
Zack Wheeler, New York Mets (9-7, 3.37 ERA, $-142)

While most of the talk around the Mets is the unreal pitching of Jacob deGrom (and his incredible First Five Innings Under trend), Wheeler is having quite the season himself and is straight dealing.

The right-hander has an 0.98 ERA with an 0.89 WHIP over his last seven starts, while striking out 50 batters compared to just nine walks. Wheeler and the Mets are +155 road dogs against the Dodgers tonight in Los Angeles.

            Slumping:
Aaron Sanchez, Toronto Blue Jays (3-5, 5.22, $-121)

For the second day in a row we have the pleasure of featuring a Blue Jays' starting pitcher in our Slumping Starting Pitcher section. Since returning from his blister injury that kept him out for two months (wink, wink...he really got his finger stuck in his suitcase) the Jays' right-hander has been awful with an ERA of 11.88 and a WHIP of 2.76 in two starts (8.1 innings).

Sanchez will be looking to right the ship this evening as a +120 home underdog against Tyler Glasnow and the visiting Rays.

            C.B. in D.C.

C.B. Bucknor will be calling balls and strikes this evening in Washington, D.C. where the Nationals will be hosting the St. Louis Cardinals. The Under is 15-8 in Bucknor's 23 games in pads this season and if you take this trend back even further, into the 2016 season, the Under is 37-15-3 (71.15 percent) in his last 55 games behind the plate.

There is a very good pitching matchup tonight with Miles Mikolas taking on Tanner Roark so you can safely take a look at Under 9 (-120), and with the solid starting pitching you should probably look at Under 6.5 (-110) through seven innings and Under 4.5 (-105) through five innings.

            Under Afternoon in Atlanta

There is a stiff 8-10 mile per hour breeze blowing in from left field in the forecast for this afternoon's game between the Atlanta Braves and the visiting Boston Red Sox at SunTrust Park.

The Sox are going with a bullpen game as Hector Velazquez will get the start. Velazquez has made four starts since the beginning of July and four innings has been his longest outing. It's a good thing the Red Sox have the second best bullpen in the American League in terms of run allowed this season.

Mike Foltynewicz will get the ball for Atlanta and he had a bit of a rough outing against the Chicago Cubs in his last start, but in his four assignments prior to that he was streaking with an ERA of 1.01 and a WHIP of 0.90 in 26.2 innings of work.

What does this all add up to? Probably some Under leans. Full game Under 8 (-120), first five Under 4 (-115).

MLB Game Preview - Chicago Cubs at Milwaukee Brewers

The Milwaukee Brewers have tightened up the National League Central race with a pair of head-to-head victories over the Chicago Cubs in recent days, and can edge even closer with a victory on Wednesday. The Cubs have been atop the division for some time but Milwaukee is making them sweat with the recent success.

Chicago can get some breathing room with a victory in this game so it is a crucial matchup. The Brewers are also pushing for the top wild card spot so there is plenty on the line down the stretch. Milwaukee is at home in this matchup and the starting pitching duel is a good one so the odds don’t figure to favor either team by too much.

The race for October is at full tilt and all eyes will be in Milwaukee for this N.L. Central showdown in MLB gambling.

The Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers will face off on Wednesday, September 5th, 2018 at 8:10 p.m. ET at Miller Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

We'll have MLB baseball odds at BookMaker.eu available for every game of the 2018 MLB season.

                Odds Analysis

The Cubs are 81-57 on the season, which is the best record in the National League. They have gone 37-33 away from home and have a run-differential of plus-113. Chicago seems to be one of the top choices for the World Series out of the N.L. but needs to hold on to the top seed.

The Brewers are in second place in the division but also have the second-best record in the National League with a mark of 79-61. They have won three straight games to close to within three of the Cubs in the standings. Milwaukee is 42-26 at home and would love to sweep this three-game set with another win in MLB gambling.

                Probable Pitchers

Chicago is projected to send Jose Quintana to the hill. He is 11-9 on the season with a 4.21 ERA and a 1.35 WHIP. Quintana is in the midst of a down year, as he has been one of the better starting pitchers in the major leagues in the past. Quintana has particularly run into problems the third time through the order so don’t be surprised if he is pulled after five or six innings in this one. Quintana has pitched well in his last three starts, allowing only four combined runs in 16 total innings.

The Brewers are expected to counter with Jhoulys Chacin. He is 14-5 with a 3.53 ERA. Chacin doesn’t have great peripheral stats but it’s hard arguing with the results. He has been particularly effective recently. Chacin has only given up four runs in his past four starts combined.

                Previous Matchups

The Brewers opened up this series with a 4-3 victory. Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant tried to send the game into extra innings by turning a third to first double play, but his throw was not in time to get Christian Yelich, giving the Brewers a walkoff win.

Milwaukee dominated on Tuesday, cruising to an 11-1 victory. Wade Miley was very good, allowing only one run in six innings of work. The Brewers led 3-1 after five innings and then poured it on late, scoring three runs in the sixth, three in the seventh and two more in the eighth to run away for the victory.

                Free MLB ATS Picks

If the Cubs won this series, they would have been in great shape to cruise to the National League Central title. Instead, Milwaukee has pulled closer, and can really make things interesting with another win. Chicago is the better team but the Brewers are hot and would love to surprise many by winning the division.

The Cubs know what is on the line in this one. Quintana has been inconsistent on the year but look for him to throw a gem to give Chicago a much-needed win in MLB gambling.

MLB ATS Pick: Cubs 4, Brewers 3

                  By Kevin Rogers

Hottest team: Rays (13-2 last 15)

Even though Tampa Bay will likely fall short of a Wild Card berth, the Rays have put together a terrific run since getting swept at home by the White Sox in early August. The Rays have won seven of their last nine series, including taking the first two games over the slumping Blue Jays. Tampa Bay has allowed one run to Toronto in this series, while beating the Jays in seven of the past eight matchups overall.

The Rays look for the sweep tonight at Rogers Center as Tyler Glasnow takes the mound for Tampa Bay. The former Pirates’ right-hander is winless in his last three road starts, including a 2-1 defeat at Toronto on August 12 in spite of allowing two hits and one run in five innings of work. From a totals perspective, the Rays are 4-0-1 to the UNDER in Glasnow’s last five starts, while allowing one run or less in four of six starts since joining Tampa Bay.

Coldest team: Twins (2-9 last 11)

Minnesota owns one of the worst road records in baseball at 24-46 after dropping a 5-2 decision at Houston last night. This current trip has been especially tough as the Twins have lost six of eight games, including an 18-4 defeat to Texas on Sunday. Minnesota is riding a 1-9 run in road series finales since the start of July, as the Twins try to avoid the sweep tonight against the streaking Astros.

Jake Odorizzi heads to the hill for the Twins, as Minnesota is winless in the right-hander’s last five starts away from Target Field. Odorizzi shut down the Astros earlier this season as a home underdog in a 4-1 victory as he gave up one earned run in six innings of work on April 10.

Hottest pitcher: Jhoulys Chacin, Brewers (14-5, 3.53 ERA)

One of the more underrated offseason pickups was Chacin, who posted a 13-10 record with a 3.89 ERA in San Diego last season. Chacin has tossed at least six innings in five straight starts, while the Brewers are 4-1 in this current stretch. The veteran has owned the Cubs by not allowing a run in 13 innings of work, while beating Chicago twice this season, including a 7-0 shutout at Wrigley Field on August 14. The Brewers seek the sweep of the Cubs tonight at Miller Park as Milwaukee sits three games behind Chicago for the top spot in the NL Central.

Coldest pitcher: Homer Bailey, Reds (1-13, 6.13 ERA)

Bailey just can’t escape this category as Cincinnati has lost each of his last 10 starts since mid-May. Cincinnati has compiled an amazing 1-18 record when Bailey takes the mound, which means the Reds are 58-62 in games that the right-hander isn’t involved in. The Pirates are 2-0 against Bailey this season, while scoring nine runs on him in 9.2 innings of work. Cincinnati has dropped five straight matchups with Pittsburgh, while going 1-6 in its past seven road series.

Biggest OVER run: Orioles (5-2 last seven)

While the Mariners were busy beating each other up prior to Tuesday’s game against the Orioles, Baltimore was ready to snap an eight-game road losing streak. Baltimore barely cashed the OVER in a 5-3 win at Safeco Field, while the offense busted out following consecutive one-run outputs. The O’s have been extremely inconsistent in this current OVER stretch by scoring double-digit runs twice, but also getting limited to two runs or less three times. Andrew Cashner put together a great UNDER run for Baltimore from May 9 through July 5 (10 straight UNDERS), but the Orioles are 6-3 to the OVER in his last nine outings.

Biggest UNDER run: Angels (6-1 last seven)

Unfortunately, this isn’t the longest UNDER run in baseball. That streak belongs to the Diamondbacks, who have hit the UNDER in 11 straight games. The reason Arizona isn’t being showcased is due to the D-backs being off tonight after beating San Diego on Tuesday. The Angels have been limited to three runs or less in eight of the past 10 games, including each of the last five contests. Los Angeles scored one run in the final eight innings of last night’s 4-2 setback at Texas as Jaime Barria has hit the UNDER in his last two road starts for the Angels. Barria scattered seven hits and allowed one run to the Rangers last month in a 4-2 loss, while the right-hander beat the Astros his last time out by tossing six scoreless innings.

Matchup to watch: Yankees vs. Athletics

The two teams that are on the verge of squaring off in the AL Wild Card game next month wrap up their series at the Coliseum tonight. The A’s held off the Yankees on Monday, 6-3, while the Yankees bounced back with five runs in the final three innings of a 5-1 victory last night. New York extended its lead over Oakland to 4 ½ games as the Yankees seek home-field advantage in the Wild Card game for the second straight season.

Mike Fiers has turned into a tremendous pickup for Oakland as the A’s are 5-0 in his five starts since getting acquired from Detroit in August. Four of those wins have come at the Coliseum, including two victories in the role of a home underdog against the Dodgers and Mariners. Fiers beat the Yankees as a member of the Tigers earlier this season at Comerica Park as he allowed two earned runs in 5.2 innings of a 4-2 victory.

Luis Severino counters for New York as the Yankees have won nine of their last 11 road games. Severino is unbeaten in his past three starts, as he has given up eight runs in this span although they faced the Blue Jays, Orioles, and Tigers in this stretch. The righty beat the Athletics in May at Yankee Stadium, 6-2 as he yielded five hits and one run in six innings of work.

Betcha didn’t know: The Rockies have captured eight of the past 11 matchups with the Giants, including a 7-1 record at Coors Field this season. Colorado seeks the sweep of San Francisco tonight as Antonio Senzatela tries to get on track after losing to the Cardinals and Padres his last two outings. In Senzatela’s only start against the Giants this season, the right-hander tossed seven scoreless innings in an 8-1 rout on July 3.

Biggest public favorite: Mariners (-235) vs. Orioles

Biggest public underdog: Athletics (+140) vs. Yankees

Biggest line move: White Sox (-150 to -175) vs. Tigers

                      • LEADING OFF: Acuna and Braves face Greinke in Arizona
                        September 5, 2018
                        By The Associated Press

A look at what's happening around the majors Thursday:

                        BRAVE NEW WORLD

Rookie phenom Ronald Acuna Jr. will try to get the first-place Atlanta Braves off to another fast start when they visit Arizona in a matchup of NL playoff contenders. Acuna hit his eighth leadoff homer Wednesday, setting a club single-season record, but the Braves blew a late six-run lead in an excruciating 9-8 loss to Boston at home. Brandon Phillips' two-run homer with two outs in the ninth inning of his long-awaited season debut capped the biggest comeback by the Red Sox this year. On the heels of a three-game sweep, Anibal Sanchez (6-5, 2.98 ERA) looks to get Atlanta back on track when he faces Zack Greinke (13-9, 2.97) and the Diamondbacks in the opener of a four-game series. Acuna has 24 homers, including 17 since the All-Star break.

                        GETTING CLOSER

With their magic number in single digits, the Cleveland Indians attempt to move closer to a third consecutive AL Central title when they play at Toronto. Lefty reliever Andrew Miller (sore shoulder) is expected to throw a bullpen before the game. He's been on the disabled list since Aug. 29.

                        CLOSING TIME

No telling who the Chicago Cubs will use as their closer when the NL Central leaders open a series at Washington. Brandon Morrow held the job through the All-Star break, but hasn't pitched since then because of a biceps injury. He hasn't thrown off a mound during his recovery. Pedro Strop has gotten the ball in the ninth inning lately, but has never been a full-time closer. Steve Cishek and Justin Wilson also could perhaps fill in. Manager Joe Maddon says even if Morrow heals, it's hard to say how he'd be used.

                        CHECK HIM

Phillies third baseman Maikel Franco has returned to Philadelphia to have his sore right wrist examined by a specialist. He didn't play in the three-game series at Miami this week. Franco is expected to rejoin the team later this week. The Phillies, who have lost four of five while trying to catch Atlanta in the NL East, play this weekend vs. the Mets in New York.

                                13) Pat O’Hara is the Tennessee Titans’ QB coach; maybe you’ve never heard of him, but chances are, you’ve seen him in the movies or watched him play ball on TV. More likely the movies.

                                O’Hara’s resume:
1987-90— Played (backup) QB at USC; he was Todd Marinovich’s backup
1991— Backup QB for the Buccaneers
1992— Played for Ohio Glory in the WLAF
1992— Backup QB for the Chargers.
1995-2000— QB for Orlando Predators in the Arena League
2001-02— QB for Toronto Phantoms in the Arena League
2003-06— QB for Tampa Bay Storm in the Arena League.

Since his playing days ended (he was on three Arena Bowl champs), O’Hara has been head coach of four different Arena League teams, and for the last three years, was an assistant coach with the Houston Texans. Now he is with the Titans.

Despite all that, here’s where you’re most likely to have seen Pat O’Hara; he has appeared in five movies; he was Tyler Cherubini in Any Given Sunday, the backup QB who got hurt, which put third-stringer Willie Beamon (Jamie Foxx) into the game.

O’Hara has also been the football consultant on 13 different Hollywood movies, including The Waterboy, Invincible and the remake of The Longest Yard. Interesting career.

                                12) Monday night in Los Angeles, Mets’ 3B Todd Frazier dove into the stands to try and make a catch— when he produced a baseball to the umpire, the batter was called out, but in the video, you can see a woman pointing to something on the ground.

Turns out she was pointing to the ball that Frazier didn’t catch; the ball Frazier shows the ump was a rubber baseball that was in a bag that Frazier landed on when he dove into the stands.

Weird thing about this is that is was the Mets’ TV crew that uncovered this mistake. Makes the umpires look bad. You wonder if a rule change will result from this, as far as umpires being more aggressive in making sure the player actually caught the ball.

                                11) Fantasy baseball is usually fun; except when your team gets eliminated from the playoffs, which mine did 10 days ago, mostly because Jose Abreu needed emergency abdominal surgery, and played in only one game that week. Not good.

Turns out the surgery was for “testicular torsion” which involves twisting of the spermatic cord, which has the effect of reducing blood flow to the affected testicle. Ouch.

From Abreu: “It was one of my testicles turned sideways and was strangled. The doctor had to perform emergency surgery to save it. I never thought about it, but it was serious. The doctors they did a very good job and everything is good. They saved the testicle. I’m really glad and thankful like I said before for all the people who helped me and who were there for me. I feel very grateful right now.”

Thankfully he is OK, but why doesn’t stuff like this happen in the offseason?

                                10) Houston Texans have a different starting QB for the 6th year in a row- DeShaun Watson. The previous five?

Tom Savage, Brock Osweiler, Brian Hoyer, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Matt Schaub.

                                9) In the last 50 years, there has been only one QB taken in the first round of the NFL Draft who never started a game for the team that drafted him.

Rich Campbell went to college at Cal, wound up lasting four years in the NFL, all with Green Bay (1981-84)— he appeared in seven games, completed 31-68 passes for 3 TD’s, 9 INT’s.

                                8) Former NFL QB Jay Cutler is a bit player on the reality show Very Cavallari that is on the E! Channel and stars his wife Kristin, a fashion designer who has been on other reality shows and has had small roles in movies.

Cutler has a dry sense of humor; you can see why CBS was going to hire him to analyze NFL games LY before he made a comeback (for $10M) with the Dolphins last year.

                                7) ESPN’s field mikes are cranked up so loud for Sunday Night Baseball; every time a guy hits a medium fly ball it sounds like a clap of thunder that could wipe out a small city.

                                6) Baseball oddity; Tuesday night, Marlins walked Phillies’ SS Mike Kingery intentionally his first time up, to get to the pitcher. Next time thru the lineup, they walked Cesar Hernandez on purpose, to get to Kingery. I’m betting that doesn’t happen very often.

                                5) From ESPN.com:

Over last 15 regular seasons, NFL favorites are 1,859-1,860-11 against the spread
During that time, over is 1,890-1,886-64.
Thursday NFL games; since 2003, favorites are 97-66-5 vs spread.

Looking at odds to win the Super Bowl, defending champ Eagles have the 10th-lowest odds. Not a lot of respect there.

                                4) RIP Burt Reynolds, 82, one of the biggest TV/movie stars of the 70’s/80’s. My favorite movie of his is the original The Longest Yard.

Back in the day, Reynolds was a running back at Florida State when the QB was Lee Corso; what a combo those two must have been. Bet they had a ton of fun.

                                RIP, sir.

                                3) Geno Crandall, a two-time all-Big Sky Conference guard at North Dakota, announced that he would be graduating over the summer, transferring to Gonzaga for his final year of eligibility.

One small problem; Crandall hasn’t graduated from North Dakota yet. To be a graduate transfer, you actually have to graduate.

If it takes him an extra semester to graduate from North Dakota, he could still bolt after the first semester and play for the Zags in the second semester. Crandall scored 28 points in a game for North Dakota AGAINST Gonzaga last season- he scored 16.6 ppg LY.

                                2) If you don’t think the NFL is still the king of American sports, consider this; in the heat of the baseball pennant race, with Falcons-Eagles the NFL opener Thursday, only four major league games were scheduled. Four out of a possible 15.

                                1) 2018 major league payrolls:
                                — Boston $233,752,429
                                — LA Dodgers $187,318,213
                                — Bronx $166,111,632
                                — Oakland $65,985,833

                                Go figure.
