WASHINGTON -- Ryan Raburn hit an RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Washington Nationals beat the New York Mets 3-2 on Monday night.
The hit to shallow left off Fernando Salas scored Matt Wieters, who led off the ninth with a walk, took second on a walk by pinch hitter Stephen Drew and went to third on a flyout by pinch hitter Adam Lind.
The winning pitcher was Matt Albers (4-1), who gave up two runs in the ninth. Paul Sewald (0-3) was hit with the loss as he allowed the walk to Wieters.
New York's Curtis Granderson hit a two-run, pinch-hit homer on a 0-2 count with two outs in the top of the ninth off Albers to tie the score at 2.
Phillies 4, Pirates 0
PHILADELPHIA -- Aaron Nola threw seven scoreless innings as Philadelphia downed Pittsburgh.
The Phillies, who have won four of their past six games after losing 16 of 19, got two-run home runs from Freddy Galvis and Maikel Franco.
Nola (6-5) allowed four hits, walked one and struck out eight, continuing a string of strong starts.
Brewers 8, Orioles 1
MILWAUKEE -- Brent Suter struck out a career-high eight batters in six innings during a spot start, and Milwaukee jumped on Baltimore starter Wade Miley early and cruised to victory.
Filling the spot vacated when Chase Anderson landed on the disabled list a week ago, Suter (1-1) held Baltimore to an unearned run, four hits and a walk.
The Brewers' bats did their part, putting four on the board in the opening inning against Miley, who lasted just 1 1/3 innings and allowed seven runs, seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts.

NEW YORK -- Masahiro Tanaka pitched seven effective innings, and New York added four insurance runs in the eighth inning and held on for a victory over Toronto.
Tanaka (7-7) allowed one run and five hits while dodging trouble at key points. He walked one and struck out eight in a 111-pitch showing that gave him a 1.29 ERA in his last three outings.
Chase Headley drove in three runs for the Yankees, while Aaron Judge and Gary Sanchez each had two hits and two runs.

ST. LOUIS -- Tommy Pham had three hits and two walks as St. Louis routed Miami.
Yadier Molina went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a sacrifice fly and three RBIs, one night after seeing his 16-game hitting streak end. Stephen Piscotty added two hits, two runs and an RBI as St. Louis battered five Miami pitchers for 15 hits in winning for the seventh time in nine games.
Rookie Luke Voit capped the huge evening with his first major league homer, a two-run blast to center in the eighth that traveled 429 feet. Voit finished 2-for-5 with a game-high four RBIs.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Max Kepler had four hits, including a solo homer, and drove in four runs, and Adalberto Mejia continued his strong run of starts as Minnesota returned home to defeat Los Angeles.
Joe Mauer added a two-run homer, and Miguel Sano had three hits and two RBIs for Minnesota, which finished an 11-game, three-city road trip on Sunday with its sixth loss in eight games. The Twins started the day with the lowest home winning percentage in baseball at .390 (16-25).
Mejia (4-3) pitched seven innings, allowing three runs on nine hits and a walk. He struck out five and ran his scoreless innings streak to 13 2/3 innings before three straight hits opened the fourth inning and led to two runs for the Angels.

DENVER -- A pair of rookies helped Colorado open a crucial homestand with a win over Cincinnati.
Rockies starter Jeff Hoffman (5-1) gave up three runs and four hits, two of them solo homers, in a career-high-tying seven innings. Hoffman faced just one batter with a runner in scoring position in his 90-pitch outing that included three walks and four strikeouts.
Raimel Tapia finished a single shy of the cycle. He tripled and scored in the second, doubled in the third and hit his second homer of the season in the sixth to put the Rockies ahead 4-3. Tapia led off the eighth and struck out on three pitches.
