Clash over proposed Ground Zero mosque

while i don't think a mosque is a good idea for ground zero, why all the hatred to muslims?

if a christian group kills a abortion doctor or burns a clinic, should all christians be lumped into that catigory? what about the IRA? should every irish person be lumped in with that group? terrorists are terrorists and every group has them, that doesn't make everyone bad.

But when we can't even allow our children to pray at school or say a prayer before a football game and then the President comes and gives his ok for the mosque - I have a major problem with that.
I feel everyone has a right to their religious beliefs - but that fucking includes ME !!! And my kids or grandkids can't say a prayer BECAUSE it offends others and then the douche bag President oks a mosque in such a sensitive area - there is something SEVERELY wrong with that.
Why isn't Obama fighting to allow MY right to pray in schools or events, etc?
And before any one starts saying this is an Obama hatred thing, I would say the same about ANY President that fucking insensitive. There is NO excuse in my opinion.
At worst, Obama should have had NO opinion on this but no, he gives his fucking blessing !!! I have a problem with that and so should ANY American who believes in the flag and OUR country.

Born and raised a dem, and I'm from Obama's "Home State" Hawaii. I'm done with him and the left side. I'm all for upholding everyones freedom, but this shit is just too much already. ramadan dinner in the White House??? REALLY??? This guy went too far. To take one of the biggest tragedies in the history of this country and basically use it as a rallying point for freedom of religion is bull shit. These muslims who want to build this mosque knew exactly what they were doing when they said they wanted to build it there. Why not build it somewhere else??? They wanted to piss people off and cause hard feelings.

When the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor you know what the Japanese Americans did??? They joined the Army and FOUGHT for THEIR country! 442nd and 100th Battalion, the most decorated units in this country's history! They did'nt say "Hey! Let's go build a Buddhist Temple next to Pearl Harbor!" They fought and DIED for their country. I'm not saying there were not any muslims who went and fought in the middle east, I'm sure there were many. But this type of action makes me deeply resent their people and religion.

Many will disagree with me, and that's fine. My vote is republican here on out.

I am confused though b/c the people who are for this try and hide behind the Constituition, but I don't think making the mosque locate elsewhere infringes on the right to practice their faith.

I know he is supposed to be away for the weekend, but I am VERY curious what Terd's opinion on this is b/c he has stated numerous times gun control laws don't "infringe" on the 2nd Amendment since you still have the right to bear arms. So these people still have the right to practice their religion, just elsewhere.

Some of the worst terrorists acts in this country have been commited by Americans,outside 9-11 wow this whole thread was a real eye opener.

First, I don't get into the racial calling of names, etc. But how can you not see how insensitive this is - our President ok'ing the idea of putting a mosque at Ground Zero?
Again, this IS NOT a republican/democrat view, but an AMERICAN view. You have NEVER (and you can check all my posts) heard me say one thing about Obama and his religious beliefs. Have I bashed his policies - yes I have. Do I think he has made MANY poor decisions - yes I have. But I have also said the same thing about Bush.

But this goes beyond that. When an acting President does not fight for the right to say prayers in schools or at events but then ok's this idea for a mosque at Ground Zero - that is totally absurd and totally wrong. If ANY one defends this, then, in MY opinion, they are so brainwashed by the Democratic party that they forgot what this country was founded on.
And I would say the same thing if it was a Republican president.

I truly would like to hear your facts about this. The only conclusion I can see is that your definition of "terrorists acts" and mine are different.

And has far as the mosque goes, NO ONE can justify building that at the proposed site. Move it somewhere else in New York and I feel many AMERICANS would have no issue, but there - no way.
