Chad, Stop being ignorant yourself. Nobody denies it's addiction but they also know it was a choice you and Josh made when you 1st tried it and that is all people are saying.

As I stated in my previous post until your life is touched by someone that fights addiction it's sooo easy to pass judgment. Until then please reserve your uneducated and ignorant opinions to yourself.
Hey Frank its funny before I even started commenting throughout this thread I KNEW you would be in here shortly to let everyone know as I know that you went through this indirectly with your family and I also knew you would agree with me on this topic for sure...yes "please reserve your uneducated and ignorant opinions to yourself" as anyone truly cannot understand no matter how much they "think" they do....Hamilton is a hero and everything he has went through should continue to be broadcasted frequently if he so chooses....

It shows every time you try convincing people you are a good guy and you do this. It will be great talking to you someday after you grow up. At that point, you will probably enjoy conversations more because you might understand one for once. The guy ripped nobody and had a valid question.
Wayne I apologized right away for calling him an idiot...yes that was unnecessary....

You sound like my 15 year old Chad. Everything isn't fixed with an apology, especially when you use it as your crutch again and again and again. It gets fucken old.

How many signs did you see at Yankee Stadium held up by kids proclaiming Josh their hero. I lost count at six....
A role model for kids I can understand what you mean Shoe as I wouldnt want my kid to go down that path either. But as for millions of American (and Canadian) youth who struggle with alcohol and drug addiction he should definately be commended for what he has overcome as it truly is a miracle...drugs have taken over the youth these days and its sickeneing to watch...it is a reality in North America and should be publicized for awareness, strengh, and hope...

Dude, i have been thru it, i am not going to spill out my life on the internet, but i know first hand, right fucking in front of me what addiction is.

Chad, you really shouldnt throw around that people are clueless, you have NO idea what anyone here has been thru, not everyone likes to share every detail of their life on the net.

And again, my post was about JOSH HAMILTON, who I still haven't heard anything abut an abusive sitaution or mental illness. There are plenty of addicts, as I suspect Hamilton is, that are just weak minded individuals that made poor decisions.

Oh by the way, my mother-in-law is an alcoholic, so my life has been very much touched by addiction.
It has nothing to do with being weak minded at all...that shows that you are uniformed about this disease by that comment in itself...but then again its ok cause I would not expect yourself or anyone who has not been fully affected by it to be fully aware...

It is a reality in every country Chad. That is why half of the drugs are smuggled here.

So let me get this straight, i can go try crack, get addicted, fall flat on my face for awhile and if i pull myself out of the hole i'm in, i would be a "Hero"?

It is weak minded when you say fuck it and try it for the 1st time. Were you drug raped? Did someoneone hold you down and force crack down your lungs? If so i apologize but i'm guessing not ........

If someone is suffering from a mental illness, thats a whole different ball game, i dont recall Chado or Josh Hamilton saying they had mental afflictions. Seems to me that both chose to do crack recreationally and it bit them in the ass. Thats jmo
Do young college kids who try drinking at parties in their youth think that they will become an alcoholic one day? Of course not...you simply do not know at all John...it has different affects on every individual and there is no telling if one may become addicted or not...and there is no difference between alcohol or drugs...its the same thing....mind altering substance....

We all know someone that's an alcoholic etc. Knowing someone that suffers from addiction and living/loving someone that suffers from addictions are very different things.

No comparison Chad. Alcohol is LEGAL. Get educated.

Crack is one of the most addictive drugs on the planet, alcohol is addictive, but its not crack. Also, alcohol is leagal, crack is not.

                                Big difference Chad
