If we weren't in war there would be a lot more loans being defaulted on, higher rate of unemployment etc.

GDP was 3.8% last qtr....that is pretty strong........

where is that now??? wasn't here under clinton either......nor bush.....

your hatred for bush is clouding your vision and your defense of carter is fairly weak.....

the economy is strong.....you must be young since you do not remember carter.....i do....when things were tough we could not get our credit card out.....people had to actually budget....

      our military was falling apart.......

but like i said there is good and bad in every admin.....his you may have to look reaaaal hard.....there was good under clinton......there was good under the elder bush....and there is some good under this one....

the economy is not as cyclical as it once was because of trade and the global economy....

also i am not a supporter of the iraq war.....but it is there and whining about it everyday is not changing it......

i would rather that people with their own money pay for their childrens health care.....otherwise do not have them....

why should peoples children be the responsibility of govt.?

if a child is sick and their folks can not afford it there should be coverage....but not blanket coverage for more abuse of govt programs....i am tired of paying for other peoples kids who they shouldn't have had in the first place.....ie welfare babies......illegals.....etc.....

Yeah, that is they way I was going to describe it, but I just didn't think anyone that seriously compared the two economies, would be smart enough to understand the explanation.
