I believe your letting personal hatred of Manning cloud your judgement about reality. Your right, time will tell. But your showing that cloud again when you put one teams win or loss squarely on ONE PERSON.

If he throws for 5 touchdowns and completes 70% of his passes, and they lose by 6 points because of fumbles by a wide receiver or a running back and the other team scores and wins? Did he choke?

I'll leave this topic alone because your obviously very fragile, and I don't want to hurt your feelings.

Have a great night my friend.
His team is not an issue...he has a great team and some of the most talented offensive players in the league. That defense is good enough for him to get further than the 2nd round of the playoffs and he fails to do so year in and year out. He doesnt show up in crunch time plain & simple. Thats my opinion until he proves otherwise.

Being 8-0 and beating a depleted pats team is not going to change my opinion.

lol i'm not mad, i said i was a bit upset. I know i'm not going to get you to understand my reasoning. Thats fine. And to answer the question if Peyton throws for 5 TD's and a WR or RB fucks up then i'll blame them. But if he goes into a HUGE game and throws for 125yrds 1 TD and 2 INTs i'll be screaming CHOKE CHOKE CHOKE cause as much as you and all the other manning backers/apologists dont want to believe it thats what the guy is. He just isnt a big game player. Thats my whole point of this thread.

This was brought up before. People used to say the same about Elway.

Beating a depleted Pats team won't change your mind. That's FINE.

However, you and Bry are contridiction yourselves. In off years for the Pats, Brady has looked ordinary. The Pats are 4-4 this season. If he's as great as you and Bry claim why aren't the Pats at worse 6-2.

I just don't understand how you can make that assessment??

They were 19th.....19th in team defense last year.

Steelers, Pats and Eagles were 1, 2, 3....and what do you know they were all in their respective championship games.

In 2003 the DID make it past 2 rounds, so there blows that logic....but they were still 20th in team defense, but lost in the AFC Championship game to the Super Bowl champs.

In 2005 they are at this point...and I stress this point....1st in the NFL in total defense.

Come on guys...it's not one guy that makes or break a team. They are a much better team on the defensive side this year, and it very well could be the reason that they make the super bowl.

Last nite was the biggest win of his career. TOO BAD IT WAS IN NOVEMBER!

Give me the guy who always wins when it counts (9-0 in playoffs).

Last year, Peyton and his big bad offense scored a whopping 3 points against the Pats last year in the playoffs (when it acutally counted) when they had an aging receiver playing in the secondary, and had no Seyomour or Ty Law.

So big deal, he won a game in November against a team who cant stop anyone and has half their defense hurt.

                CUT THAT MEAT!

because the PATS D has more holes in it than the Titanic. Wasnt it you who said D matters most??? Brady and the offense IMO are okay this year, its the PATS D thats getting tourched week in and week out.

The pats are one of the most injured teams in the NFL. They have backups backups playing right now and they are still in the ***** of things. You think Manning would have lead the pats to a better record with the schedule the pats have had this year and the talent. Brady isnt handing the ball off to one of the top rushers in the game. He also isnt throwing to one of the best recieving core's in the game and he sure as hell doent have as good of a O line right now. Manning would be a sitting duck on that team. 4-4 and a chance to still win there divison is a pretty good accomplishment IMO.

The Pats have a ridiculous amount of injuries, and even the guys who do play are hurt (Dillon the best example). They also played the toughest schedule through 8 games ever (elias sports info). W/Out Brady, they'd probly be 2-6.

Also, Brady hasn't looked ordinary this year, he is actually playing great, and led them in 4th quarter comebacks in 3 (at ATL, at Pitt, and Buff) of their 4 wins.

Brady looked far from ordinary at Pittsburgh. Look at him in the 4th Q of that game, he was perfect.

Brady is still great because his defense is lousy.

But Manning is a choke because he's had a lousy defense for years.

Brady with his great defense from the past few seasons never started 8-0.
