Its been a while since I posted mainly because nothing of major importance has happened.
We chat every couple of days on the phone, and as far as I can understand she is progressing ok with compiling her paperwork and documents.
If I had to put out an over/under as to when she will set foot in this country in terms of everything(paperwork, her interview in Bogota, the holiday season, suitable flight, etc.), I would probably use the date January 20 -120 before.(I have not that optimistic about early January any more).
Gads-I might even travel there during the NFL Playoffs!
Oh well, they do have tvs and computers there-so no big deal.
Hopefully soon I will be able to at least say that her Visa interview has been scheduled.

Meg-I think they probably do this for girls, but from what I understand most American ladies wouldn't want a guy say from Colombia.
The fact that I myself have received emails showing interest by literally thousands of women from all over the world tells me that in many cases the men in many cases in their own country are not suitable-many times they drink too much, cheat, can't hold a job, are irresponsible, etc.
I am sure many American women believe American men are no bargains either(just check out the thousands of the same women on Match.com, Eharmony, etc. who are always on the websites and who never find anyone;that in itself tells you something).
Anyways, I hope my answer gives you a little perspective on things.
I myself spent two years trying to find a nice, loving American lady;I couldn't find any (at least one who is younger), and all I can say going to Colombia was a great decision by me(at least so far).

And sadly a lot of these women on the websites, many of whom are not particularly attractive neither on the outside or inside, have vastly overrated opinions of the themselves and think they can afford to be choosy.
Let me tell you-I encountered some of these real snobs over the past few years, ones who think their sh-t doesn't stink and who view themselves as god's gifts to men.
Actually, before leaving these particular websites for good, I changed my entire profile and essays about myself and in its place wrote a lot of what I am saying here, ie telling them in so many words that most of them were losers and would probably spend the rest of their lives trying to find someone who could meet their absurd standards.
I suppose if they can't find any suitable guy, well they can always become lesbians and date themselves,as a lot of them are better suited to one another than to guys.
Sorry for being so harsh, but thats the impression I got from most of these stuck up, conceited bitches!
PS The most important thing is that nightmare is all behind me, as I have found a REAL lady without the pretenses and superficial values of those non-entities/nothings cited above.

I will say this-most of the nice American ladies I have met in my lifetime(there are some for sure) and the type in whom I might be interested would not hang out on the dating sites(and certainly not bars) and realize for the most part that most of them(the dating sites) are pure hype (sorry EHarmony, Match.com and Jdate to name a few) and would have better sense and more realistic expectations for the type of guy out there who exists than the former would have you believe..
In all fairness, the same thinking applies for the guys looking for ladies.
Those websites show you a FEW happy people who met on their websites but do NOT show you the untold thousands who gave up and/or are still there after many months of seeking a partner;this is not opinion-it is fact.
Its kind of like a sport service which tells you only about its winners.

amen, my brother has been a member at most of those sites for a couple of years. he is a good christian man with a great job, plenty of money and by no means ugly. can he find a decent wife on any of the sites savages mentioned. NO, why, because most american women are spoiled self serving shitheads, not all but most are. they dont realize that if you give a man a little respect and a piece of ass once a week he will worship the ground you walk on. but no, we cant do that, we need our ass kissed and we dont want to work, or cook, and cant you clean the house and take care of the children, we are modern day american women, equal. well keep up with that stupid ass logic as american men marry women from other countries. a woman may read this and consider me a male chovinist pig(i know that is spelled wrong), but i am not. i dont think a woman should be knocked up and cant vote. i think 1 day there will be a woman president. all i think most of guys are asking for is a little respect. the reason you get to vote, and have jobs and a say in this world is because of us,in the caveman days, you would be clubbed, dragged back to the cave and givin a good fuckin, weather you wanted it or not. men are the dominant species on this planet period. give us just a little and you will see, we will hold you in the highest regard, a queen if you will

Sure there are some great American women, and hopefully they along with some of the foreign ladies will somehow get the message out to others as to what is and should be the basis for a relationship.

The news today is boring for you but great for me:
I sent my fiancee some very important documents several weeks ago, things she will need to bring with her to her upcoming interview in Bogota.
Well, to make a long story short, I has resigned myself to the fact that what I had sent her was lost as she had not yet received them, and that I would have to make copies of all the documents and send them to her again, which most importantly slow everything down.
Well today she finally received the documents(do they use Pony Express in Colombia?) and all systems are once again "go."
I am still shooting to have her arrival date here between 1/16 and the end of the month at the very latest.
