I agree but driving to endanger can mean many things like laying rubber, doing donuts and other pretty minor stuff. The DUI is never on the record.

        • i know a lady who blew .10 which in ny the limit is .08. so barly above the legal limit. she got a good attorney. and listen to this offer. $5k donation to the town. and they dropped the charge down to non moving violation. she took the deal. cause if she didnt, she'd be facing DWI fines, higher insurance, and if you get snagged again you loose your license manditory here in ny. it was alot to pay but it made it go away. see money talks!!!

          • That's pretty sad....But this guy claimed it was a DUI, unless they change it in the court.

I'm sorry, I can't condone driving under the influence of any kind. And honestly, I have driven twice after drinking. Not too smart. I know that sounds holy as shit, but to me, it's wrong. Maybe it's because I've been on numerous calls where a family was wiped out by a drunk driver and he came out unscathed.

yep if its your 1st DUI generally you get it pled down. bottom line is courts/towns want your cash. that is most important to them. they'll give you a $2500.00 jay walking ticket that was a DUI just to get your $$$

Honestly, i could go on for hours about how stupid they are for not legalizing this. What is the difference between drunk and high off a joint. I can't drink and drive. I feel like i have no control to be honest but if i smoked? No problem. How many times have you heard of a family killed in a car crash because the other driver smoked a joint compared to was drunk? It is amazing. I heard someone say they could balance the national budget and get out of the red for the 1st time in less than 10 years by legalizing and taxing it. Are you really stopping anybody now anyway?

Jesus, the judicial system is shit sometimes....OJ gets off scott free, DUI's getting dismissed, dogs and cats living together....What's next? Dimer getting dismissed because he's too white? KB dismissed because he wasn't drunk enough?

It's the world we live in. Why is a 17 year old high school football star in prison for 20 years for having sex with his 16 year old girlfriend when the girl and both families are behind the boy? Makes NO SENSE and while he is in jail, rapists, molesters and murders are free after limited time in jail. Fucked up my friend!

shit before my friends started becoming cops, i use to plead all my speeding tickets down to non moving violations. Shit the last one i got a few years ago i was going 18miles over speed limit. Got it pled down to talking on a cell phone charge. $100 fine $75 surcharge. NO points on license no record of speeding on my driving record. I could have simply paid the speeding fine $100 and $25 surcharge. but why cause thats 4pts on my record a speeding conviction and my insurance would go up.

On this Wayne, I agree with you 100%. I could go on as well. Alcohol is far more damaging. Although smoking is considered dangerous to your own health....Law enforcement could have a lot more free time on their hands to stop REAL criminals, if they legalize it. Their are a lot of benefits to legalizing it. But it will never happen....
