This isn't the first half and it ain't preseason. The Sox might not even make the playoffs, they definitely don't need to take a risk on the only thing that's working.
Ok mavs, i'm not here to argue with you tonight. You have your opinion and i have mine. They do not need a bat. If you followed this team or listened to anybody in Boston, a bat is the least of their worries. Pitching, and any pitching they can get is desperately needed right now. That isn't a opinion, it's a fact. Have a good night.

Their lineup is stacked and everyone in the front office has talked about pitching, pitching and more pitching. Yes, fact.

Bullpen is the best in the MLB.

You know it though Wayne, I don't have to tell you that or anything else....

            You are right about that.

They are 5th in MLB in Runs scored and 10th in MLB in ER's allowed. Tonight will do nothing but solidify those numbers. Yes, pitching is obviously a bigger problem. I swear you just look for arguments sometimes.

Best bullpen in the MLB. 5th in runs scored. They need more bullpen help than hitting help??

They might not need hitting, they definitely don't need Wagner or any other reliever for that matter. You keep saying they need pitching, you know it's not at the back end, it's at the front.

Do you even watch baseball? The Red Sox bullpen has been getting killed for the last 6 weeks now due to lack of innings by their starters. They also lost Masterson in a trade and the one good lefty that they have in the pen is being over used and tiring (Okajima). The bullpen numbers have also steadily declined since June 1st. When i say facts, it isn't arrogance, it is what's happening on almost a daily basis. Keep having your little laughter parties, i could care less.

Everything you just said proves my point that they need a starting pitcher before anyone else in the bullpen. You think Wagner comes in and sends down a hitter? No, he's just gonna' send down another reliever, same amount of relievers, same number of innings they all have to split up. They need a SP that can go more than 3 innings without getting shelled.

Said it yourself, the pen isn't bad, it's overused. You fix that with better starters, not more relievers.

                    By the way:

                    I'm laughing at this:

                    Relax.

Big deal, you send somebody (Maybe not even a pitcher) down for 1 week until the rosters expand and unless they can get 3 starters, it isn't going to help the bullpen 1 bit. Besides, tell me who is out there for starters? Papelbon has been very shaky many times this year and they wanted an insurance policy for him too. And did you miss the point where they have 1 lefty in the whole pen worth a shit and he is tiring? Maybe you ought to think these things through for a minute before jumping on somebody else. And yes, they could easily send down a Brian Anderson (OF) for a week and not miss him.

Jesus Christ, no one is jumping on anybody. Relax.

Trying to argue with you about ANYTHING, is impossible. Make it the Red Sox and it's twice as hard.

By your logic, take a shot on anybody. They're in a playoff race, and bullpen help isn't what they should be worrying about (that's my stance).

But we know I'm wrong and you're right, so let's just leave it at that.

You're not even reading what I'm writing. NOT LAUGHING AT YOUR OPINION, laughing at your statement:

                            By the way:

Anderson is their only real back up outfielder (sure you know this), not too easy to send him down, unless you plan having Youk play left on a daily basis.

Maybe i'm sick of arguing with you mavs. I gave an opinion on a question asked by savage, not you. You try to fuck with me on the littlest things like closing a thread or on a opinion that some others even agreed with me on like this. You never choose others, you choose me. It gets tiring mavs.

Billy Wagner isn't anybody. He was one of the best at one time and if they want to see what he has left, i'm all for taking that chance.
